I rented a car through Economy Bookings while in Panama. The rental period was from January 19 to February 1st, 2023.

The car was returned to Ace Rent a Car on February 1st at Avenida Marcos A Gelabert Panama City, Panamá Province, Panama. It passed all inspection when I returned it. The Ace rent a car employee was ready to reverse the 1500$ USD car deposit. When I entered my credit card in the Interac machine, the reversal of the 1500$ was refused. We tried to reverse the deposit more then once but the transaction was declined. I was there with 2 other Panamanian friends. We were advised to go the the head office of Ace rent a Car in Panama City. I went there with my friends. The Ace rent a car employee also attempted to reverse the 1500$ deposit but the transaction was declined. The lady then sent emails to the accounting department to advise of the situation.

I did call my bank and they told me the reversal can be done manually by the rental company. Here I am 2 weeks later and short 1500$ USD. I have rented cars from National and Dollar, through Expedia and never had this issue. I called customer service at Ace Rent a Car, they looked at my file, and said since the rental was done through a third party, it will take 10 to 14 days to reverse the transaction. Today is the 10th day, so I need to wait another 4 days. If I still do not see the reversal, I need to call Ace customer service again.

Desired outcome: I want my 1500$ USD deposit reversed to my credit card. All paperwork can be provided upon request.
