Woodland Homes of Huntsville

Woodland Homes placed home on the wrong side of lot causing high grade driveway. Vehicles bottom out going up and down driveway. Refusing to fix. Woodland Homes placed the home we contracted them to build on the wrong side of the lot. Per the contract, Woodland chooses where to place the home on the lot. They chose wrong. This created a high grade driveway which causes vehicles to bottom out taking out chunks of concrete (See attached picture). Woodland Homes changed our signed plat, breaching our contract which is contributing to high slope uneven driveway. Woodland says they repaired the driveway by lowering sidewalk (see attached picture) but they re-poured covering up the scrapes and chunks of concrete and situation is worse. Woodland homes was made aware of this issue on 12/17. We are supposed to close on the home 2/25 and Woodland refuses to correct driveway grade. We have built other homes in North Alabama and this build has been an unorganized, prolonged, and constant lack of communication. It is apparent based on other complaints there are recurring issues with Woodland Homes. Their rebuttal to this will mention the contract states that Woodland Homes must comply with ADA requirements and not responsible for damage or undesirable effect to driveway or sidewalk. This is null because the issue is placing the home on the wrong side of the lot which is causing increased slope above the sidewalk. Furthermore, the non-ADA sidewalk going to the front door of house was changed without our knowledge breaching our signed contract. This was another error by Woodland Homes as it caused the right side of the driveway to be raised up higher than the left (See picture). We have been more than patient with Woodland Homes as it has been 11 months since we signed contract and this is the product they are delivering. Very disappointing from a company that advertises excellence and customer service.
