Visions Electronics - 15% price beat guarantee

I called to confirm that they would price beat an authorized online seller selling the DJI mini 3 pro, for 1090.00.

I was told, even as I guided them through the DJI website's link directly to the selling vendor, that they'd have to confirm that was an authorized vendor with their own dji sales rep. I asked what would happen if the sale ended before it was confirmed and was told it would no longer be applicable then.

The following day, I called back hoping to speak to somebody else. This person told me they would only honour it if it was sold by a different vendor.

The 15% beat the price match guarantee does not specify this, and the online sale was an authorized vendor. Visions electronics did not honour this.

Desired outcome: I want them to beat the competitor price by 15% as they say they will.

Visions Electronics - Electric car start

First I called your location in victoria (langford), BC, Canada and spoke with Julien. I requested a quote on having a remote car starters installed on my truck. I was calling from Nanaimo, bc, canada approx 120 kilometers away. He sourced out a quote, then I asked to have it emailed to me. Two days later with no quote I called back and spoke with Kaitlen who told me its impossible to retrieve the quote. I asked to speak to the manager and she transferred me to Mike, he provided me with the quote and he did email it to me. When I asked to book it in for instal he said I would have to drive there 120 kilometers to book it, then drive home 120 kilometers, only to drive 120 kilometers again for the instal. I requested to pay up front over the phone and he said sorry cant do this eighter. Last Christmas I purchased a car stereo with xm radio and booked the appointment over the phone with no such issue. Mike said he couldn't find this purchase. I can and will find the receipt to confirm this. And, a year before that I purchased a car stereo for my daughter and had it installed, again I arranged this over the phone.in a world with growing Ecom sales, the ability to receive electronic payment, and with two previous purchases arranged over the phone, with a customer willing to pre pay for product and service, with a customer who promotes your business and have sent many people all the way to victoria to make their purchases. I'm treated like this. Very unfortunate this is how your manager Mike chooses to represent your company, your only as good as the people who do your business point of sale and over the phone. He is the face of your Lanford location. Rob Saunders

I wanted a Radio capable of Navigation, Bluetooth and video for my truck.
The search led me to visions.
The fellow that helped was a super nice guy but auto audio was not his thing. The fellow who worked in that department was on break.
What was weird about it all was when he finished his break he didn't step in and take over...but added a few comments from the sidelines keeping the poor fellow who knew little about car audio dealing with my search.
He found a choice. Kenwood DNX577S.
It appeared to have it all...including Sirius ready. We read it through and I asked, my truck has Sirius, will it need the module, no clear answer was given but the final answer was Sirius should be compatible with the Kenwood..
The radio was on sale too, so bonus.
( just because it was on sale for a reduced amount was not the reason I chose it)
So, added in all the accessories for a complete install. Install by visions as well.
Came to approx 1200.00
I paid in full in advance.
Installation day came, which started at 11 AM.
( No wonder they are back logged with installs when they start the day at lunch time lol)
But, he did a nice install. No complaints there. (they do seem to all have a hard time being friendly tho. Just all business. No hello how are ya...not important, but not indicative of enjoying the job.)
I get in, one sakes guy with me, who had nothing to do with the sale, is with me. I test out some features. Sirius being one of them. Check tuner is displayed. I said what's up with that? No Sirius? The sales guy says, oh it needs the Kenwood module in order for that to work...
Well, I'll be damned. Sirius won't work.
I expressed my feeling of anger that I was under the belief it would work... But doesn't with out the module.
Now, I'm sure the sales guy with me didn't like my attitude because of my pointed questions.
Had the guy who worked in the car audio took over the sale, I am sure he would have known if it was needed or not. But he wasn't there and didn't really care to be either. So myself the the guy from another department stumbled our way thru it.
Now this guy with me in the truck after the install is telling me I needed the module and I didn't order it...WELL, all I have to say to that is screw you visions, now you own me a module.
Its worth 45 bucks if I pay...it doesn't cost visions that, only the mark up.
So, I don't give a great review because it's like walking into a store where no one really knows much about anything they sell.
The Kenwood DNX577S was not in stock.
Its a pretty new item and there were no reviews to read. Just a video of it on Kenwood web site was all there was.
It is an awesome radio if you are wanting a radio that has it all.
Oh, one more thing, I bought additional warranty, on the receipt it says replacement up to 600.00...a replacement also needs to have all the features, not sure if I'll get screwed on this warranty if it's needed. The radio, not on sale, sells for 800.00 and up at other stores. Canadian tire price is 1000.00
Just something I find visions will try to wiggle out of a 1000.00 replacement radio if mine should break beyond fixable.
