Verizon/Tracfone review: I would like my fraudulently stolen $37.21 back and never be charged by this company again.

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

My complaints are 2 primary things.

1. I went to switch from Tracfone wireless service to Mint Mobile, and Tracfone refused to port my old phone number to Mint and Mint said "parent company Verizon is refusing to release your old number." That number is [protected]. When I kept calling Tracfone to try to fix it, I then started getting a message that my 456-5257 phone number was no longer a valid account.

So, after 3 weeks of trying to resolve this, I just gave up and took a new phone number from Mint Mobile, hoping my troubles were over. I was wrong.

2. Despite having an invalid account, that same invalid account charged my credit card today, April 1, 2022 for the amount of $37.21, as if to pay for another month of wireless service with Tracfone. Again, any attempt of mine to access my old account says its invalid. Any attempt to talk to a human at Tracfone results in being on hold for up to and over 60 minutes at a time, only to be then "transferred" after which I get a dial tone. They hang up. I have since left a message with their parent company, Verizon, explaining all of this and demanding a refund.
