On Friday morning February 26, I called Walgreens pharmacy (6030 W. Oklahoma Avenue Milwaukee Wisconsin 53219) for a same day refill for my medications - Losarten and Simvastatin. On Friday evening the prescription was not ready. On Saturday afternoon February 27, when I went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions, I was told that they are not ready because "We have been very busy giving Covid vaccinations." I explained that I needed the medication daily and asked them to transfer the prescription to a neighboring Walgreens that could fill it immediately. The pharmacy technician agreed to transfer the order to another Walgreens. I went to the neighboring 24 hour Walgreens pharmacy and was told they did not have my medication and had no record of a transfer. I called the original Walgreens pharmacy at 6030 West Oklahoma Avenue and was told I could not get my medication because they already transferred it. On Sunday morning I called the Oklahoma Walgreens and asked to speak with a pharmacy supervisor. After 10 minutes, a pharmacy manager took my call. I was unable to thoroughly explain my inability to get a refill as the manager began shouting how busy they have been. I asked her to stop shouting at me. She loudly responded, "This is my normal voice! Call the store manager tomorrow if you don't like it!" I ended the call. I have since, transferred the much needed prescription to CVS pharmacy where I picked it up almost immediately. For nearly three days, I was neglected and verbally abused by Walgreens pharmacy staff - all while waiting nervously to refill a prescription that prevents me from having a stroke. Covid vaccination are very important, yet the business of giving shots should not be a reason to neglect customers who medication refills.
Desired outcome: An apology and reassurance that I will be treated with dignity and respect as I refill prescriptions.
