I ordered and paid for firearm two days before pick up.
Drove the 105 miles to the store, entered the store on 02/27 10:05 A.M.
There was one customer being helped buy two employees. However, one employee was complaining loudly about his work schedule and management to his co-worker. It was clear by him being loud that he wanted more than just his co-worker to hear his grief about his work schedule. After standing there quietly close to ten minutes was only then that I was directed to "check in at the queue". At this point I was second "in-line". In the meantime another customer showed up and I was passed by even though I was the only one who "queued in" and was second in line.
Now, over 30 minutes had past and I was still waiting. Again... I pre-paid for a $900.00 firearm, and still no help.
At this point when I was finally helped, I was so upset, I requested a refund. The employee who had been complaining loudly to his co-worker about his work schedule was the one who I had to deal with. When I asked for the refund, he got in my face about complaint to with and be hosed aside when he knew clearly I was queued in and next in line. He then stated to me, "I'm not dealing with you, I'm going home and walked away and through a door. I was left dealing with the store manager who issued the refund.
I had heard that customer service at this location's gun shop was bad, but I wanted to use my club points which was close to $300.00.
Never again shall I attempt to purchased a firearm from Basspro/Cabelas.
Desired outcome: The store manager fulfilled my request of a refund. However, "customer service" starts at the top. As a 48 year business owner myself, I can tell you that the employee to management relationship is not close and there lies the problem.
