Meineke Car Care Center - Had to return my car twice for the same issue. No help offered whatsoever.

I left my car in to have the front wheel bearings replaced on Saturday 03/19/22. When I went to pick it up, I immediately heard an awful grinding noise. So I turned around and brought it back. Turns out the grinding noise was a faulty wheel bearing they had installed on the driver's side. Not only that, but the faulty bearing had bent my axle, apparently.

I was told it would be fixed at no extra charge. Fair enough.

I showed up again yesterday, 3/21/22, after telling the manager that I will be there at 11 to pick it up as I have to go to work. He said he'd call me back, but he never did. I arrive at 11 and my car is not ready.

So I'm now without a car for 3 days. I arrive today, 3/22 at noon, to pick it up after being repaired for a second time. Again, the same thing happened. As soon as I turned off the property I can hear the same grinding noise on my driver's side. I even went for a second opinion at another repair shop.

So, within an hour of collecting my car for the second time, for the same issue, I had to bring it back again.

The manager was off today, but my main complaint was that there was seemingly no one there "with the authority" to help me. They had no loaner cars available. I asked if they could rent me a car from a nearby facility, or even if they could reimburse me for having to take an Uber to and from work.

But I was met with nothing more than a "my hands are tied" and "I can't do anything" from the receptionist. I am aware that this is not her fault but surely there should be someone present at the auto shop that can make decisions in a situation like this when the manager is not in?

Also, surely the technicians heard the grinding noise while out on a test drive? I want to point out that these test drives may not be up to scratch. Both times I drove my car off the lot, I immediately heard the awful grinding as soon as I hit 30 mph. So not fast. I am questioning if they even test drove the car. Honestly, the noise was very obvious.

I've felt like I've just gotten a big middle finger from this company these past few days. I have a job to get to. Like so many others, I am struggling. I can't afford to miss work and I cannot afford to uber back and forth to work.

Having to get friends and coworkers to bring me to and from work is very inconvenient for everyone.

I would like to be compensated somehow (other than a handful of free oil changes I was offered) because this has turned out to be a huge inconvenience and the whole "we can't do anything" attitude just isn't good enough at this point.

Thank you.

Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated somehow, I spent $985 on repairs and my car has had to be brought back not once, but twice, for the same issue. The technicians did not catch the mistake when they test drove the car. Twice.
