I’m veteran and I have a service dog for my disability. My dog is only 14lbs. So he can not carry my medication. So for my medication and safety of my animal. I keep him and medication in a gym bag, that would be classified as a medical bag for my medication and medical devices (service dog) I was told I was NOT allowed to have my medical bag. Which denies the safety of my animal and medication by the district manager. I’m very tired of the poor education of the law in customer service. I was humiliated and had to educate and fight for my right as a disabled veteran. Explain everything which by law I don’t have too. This is unacceptable and there needs to be more training on ADA especially service animals.
Desired outcome: More training
Planet Fitness - annual fee
I was told in January that I had to wait until March 28th to cancel my account, they had a electrical fire and did not know when they would reopen I passed by and saw that they were open on March 30th and went in an canceled seeing as I had to wait until the 28th, I notice they charged me an annual fee and when I called they said I had to cancel by the 25th in order not to access the annual fee. How can I get my money back seeing as they were misinforming me? They said they reopened the 27th and how are we suppose to know that when they didn't notify anyone.

I too am a disabled vet and I use to manage that run down planet location in San Angelo back in 2019.
Brother, that company is run by incompetent imbeciles. Two managers up from me, (the district managers boss, also like 6 years younger than me with no life experience aside from planet fitness) was pretty consistent on asking me to do questionable (illegal af) things, i.e. make my guys stay on location during their lunch break, however they were to still clock out. This due to him having a new desire for there always being two people on location even though we only had two working at any given time. I ignored his request and essentially told him to go color. Manning is determined on how well your club does. Basically, more members, more revenue and you can have more staff.
I began to pursue a complaint with the ADA also the EEOC after requesting reasonable accommodation a number of times to only get blown off a number of times. After landing a gov job I dropped all interest in the case and those personnel that I was directly under; however I do wish I would have followed through with what I had started either it.
Anyway, I think the old district manager I worked for is now just the club manager from what I have been told. It wouldn't surprise me if she still claimed being the district manager seeing that was, is and probably will ever be her greatest accomplishment.
Brother, go to crunch or just hit up the facility on Goodfellow, it's outstanding!
