Lowe's - Installation
I purchased a deck installation in June 2023. First contractor was scheduled to show up June 2023, never showed up. I had to call and find out why. I was then notified that that contractor no longer worked for lowes. July/August 2023 second contractor was to show, never showed. Been waiting since then for third contractor to come today October 23, 2023, they call 2 days before to notify me that they are no longer coming. Now I am on my fourth contractor. I have taken off work 5 times now for this installation, loss of wages. Also, I had a porch with a roof prior to this installation and was told to take it down atleast a week before the 1st contractor was to come. So now I no longer have a porch.
As of this afternoon I am now being told that Lowes wants out of the contract.
I have dates and times. I also have the printed contract. I also have a letter from my employer stating dates I have taken off for this installation. It also states in my contract that my original porch is to be taken down by the customer.
My next step is to get a lawyer.
Desired outcome: The full deck installation to be completed as stated in contract.
Lowe's - Wood metal fence & 3 doors installation
Door 1 a screw was put through interior of door causing a dent Door 2 plastic piece inside the french door to open and close was installed broken Door 3 the foundation was broken because the door was too big to fit. So they broke the bricks under to make door fit and left it like that. With a gaping hole under the door Now the interior tile is cracking at the door. You have to hold up the handle to shut the door it does not shut properly now. The metal fence was never installed properly and they tried to attach the metal to the wood fence which damaged it also. The bolts are at angles and come out every couple of days and do not stay secure. The fence is not straight and goes in different directions. There were pine boards that were split installed and the caps were never installed on the metal poles allowing water inside. The fence posts were cut too short and so now the caps could not be installed. The metal fence was put up with two damaged panels that looks like they were hit by a forklift. There is also post installed that were not painted and are primed gray in color not black. The wood fence gate was installed improperly and is warped and doesn't open and close. Screws aren't even mounted correctly and put in at all angles. Gate sags and doesn't open properly. Wood slats have been stripped by the way they installed directly to the fence and not the post that was left over laying in the yard. The workers peed on my Halloween decorations outside and left their garbage and lunch trash thrown between the two fence. They came and picked up a pallet of concrete and never gave a refund for the items they picked up. Now they are saying this fence was installed to industry standards and it is all a lie. This was faulty workmanship on the contractors part and the installer knew the parts were broken when he installed them. I was told a service manager was going to look at this and It was a supply clerk not a manager. He told me to text him with all my issues and then two months later stopped communicating. That is when I found out he worked in supply and was not a manager as told by the contractor. This has been an ongoing issue for almost a year now and the store has refused to resolve this issue.
Desired outcome: Refund of the metal & wood fence and 3 doors. I will have all the materials (Doors and both fences) brought back to the location of your choice for reimbursement.
