I made a reservation 11/02/2023 on Priceline.com, my rental with taxes and fee was $185.66. I get to the desk in Nashville airport and they advise the vehicle was not available. They told me they would give me another one like it. I asked if I would have an up charge and they said "no". The lady asked if I needed insurance and I advised "no". I did opt for the refuel cost, she advised my total would be $185 plus the $80 fuel charge and the $200.00 hold and I said that was fine. The vehicle we received had the odor of marijuana and was dirty, the air/heat wouldn't work half the time. The front driver side breaks would make noise when stopping and the the vehicle made a loud sound when you would speed up. I really was disappointed with my rental for the weekend.
I never received my final bill, and checked my credit card statement and it showed a $370.69 charge for the rental. which had a $167.89 up charge for taxes and fees along with a damage waiver charge I didn't opt for. Now on my original reservation the $185.66 was with all taxes and fees and since they didn't have my car there and had to redo the reservation I was charged all of these fees.
I contacted customer service and was told sorry, nothing we can do.
I will never again rent from this company or advised any of my colleagues to make reservations through them or Priceline dealing with them.

Claimed loss: $167.89
Desired outcome: I would like to just be reimbursed for the taxes and fees/damage wavier I was charged without my knowledge. I would also like an apology for how they misrepresented the pricing and how I was treated on the phone.
