CVS

As a licensed physician in 2 states (Kansas & Louisiana), with a valid NPI number, I have recently been writing my own prescriptions (to include: amlodipine, telmisa hctz, doxazosin, crestor omeprasole, furosemide) due to 2 cross country moves in the past 2 years. I have been a CVS customer for likely 15 years. Today I transferred my business to Walgreeens, after one of your pharmacists refused to fill my amlodipine Rx. There has been a struggle, therefore, for me to adequately continue treating my difficult to control HTN. I was told by another of your pharmacists at that location that he did not understand the proscription of why the objection since they are not controlled substances. Today I went to Walgreens & they had the same question of why the objection, since they are not controlled substances & I violate no Federal or state laws by doing so. I am very disappointed with the treatment since I had had very good experiences with the CVS on Bluebonnet & Perkins Road in Baton Rouge.
