Rite Aid - Customer service at the pharmacy

On Mon. Nov. 20 @ 10:22pm I called the automated system to renew my prescription. It told me it would be available for pick up Tues. Nov. 21 after 10:15am. I left my # if pharmacy needed to contact me. On Tues. Nov. 21 @6:24pm I called the pharmacy b/c I didn't receive a call to pick up my prescription. The pharmacist answers the phone. I ask if it is available to be picked up. She has a nasty attitude & says No! Your doctor canceled it on Nov. 1st. I explain there must have been a mistake & asked if they could call my doctor the following morning, since there's been a mistake. She replies "No I will not. It has been canceled" I say ok well there's been a mistake I guess I'll call them tomorrow. She hangs up. Around 7:30pm I arrive at the store. There are 3 women working in the pharmacy. I speak with one & explain. She says it wasn't me that you talked to. I show her the text I received from my doctor on Nov.1st about which prescriptions were sent over and say the only one my doctor canceled was the iron pills. She walks away to show the woman who I spoke with on the phone. All the sudden she's filling my prescription while I'm standing at the counter. I ask why did the other person tell me that my doctor canceled it but now your filling it. She mentions something about how he filled it for 90 days. Which he has done for over a year. I ask do you need me to ask him to only fill it for 30 days. I was told no that it's not a problem. I ask why no one phoned me since there was obviously a problem filling it so I could have fixed the problem earlier. Again she says I don't know. I ask is there going to be a problem when I pick up the remaining amount. No no problem. I say I would like to know who I can complain to for the way I was treated. She tells me she doesn't know. The women who I spoke to on the phone stayed hidden but I could hear her voice. So I knew she was the one I spoke with. Today, Wednesday Nov. 22 I call to get the name of the person who treated me meanly. I speak with a man who says he is the supervisor of the pharmacy. He apologies for the situation & says she had a bad night they were really busy. He looks & says the doctor canceled something but then resent it. So because she didn't read the whole thing I was was being unfairly treated. I say I'd still like her name. He told me her name is Doniya. I been on this medication for a long time. I've been with this pharmacy for even longer. It's not a medication you can just stop without having side effects. I would like for her to be spoken with & explain this is not how we treat our customers. I would like an apology from her. I would like for the staff to know if they make a mistake they need to apologize & also know who I am able to complain to. A phone # an email something & if they don't know to find out. I don't know is not an acceptable answer. I'm sorry I have insomnia & can't sleep without medication. I'm very upset that I was treated like a drug addict. If it was another medication like my thyroid medication I'm sure they would have been much nicer. Please follow up with me. Have a nice day & holiday if you celebrate. My email is [protected]@gmail.com
