I reserved a room on 09/01/19 through Priceline for the La Quinta in Newport, OR for $243.75. When I arrived at approximately 2245 hours, Dave at the front desk informed me that no rooms were available and that he didn't know how I'd even been able to reserve one online. He stepped away from the desk to call his manager but came back reiterating that they had zero rooms available because of the holiday but that he would "help me out" by referring me to the Holiday Inn next door and that La Quinta would cover the difference if any, in price. So, I took my family to Holiday Inn for the night. The following day, I was charged by both Priceline and Holiday Inn.
Upon reviewing my bank account, I contacted Priceline for a refund. The Priceline representative called La Quinta's front desk and reached Dave who said that I was a no show and that there were vacancies on the night in question. Dave also said that there was no record of me at their hotel. Priceline will not give a refund based on Dave's word.
So I called Dave, to speak with his manager Vicky to sort it out. Vicky apparently will not be in until tomorrow. Dave, whose voice I recognize, was rude and repeatedly told me to "get my facts straight". And, that he doesn't even work nights. I told him that this needs sorting out. He asked for my name and then said, have your phone number as 915... I said, I thought there was no record of me! How the f&ck do you have my phone number?!? I was so incredibly frustrated by that time! Dave is a liar. Vicky, manager at La Quinta Newport, OR, you have a shady employee who doesn't know the first thing about integrity. Attached is an image of my bank statement showing both charges. I need this resolved ASAP. I refuse to deal with Dave any further.
