Tractor Supply - Management and employees

I used to shop at this store, but lately, over the past 8 months, it seems that the management of this store has sharply declined. Things are out of place, or out of stock, the employees don't seem to care that they are at work and that throwing tennis balls across the store to one another isn't exactly appropriate. The employee moral seems to be down. I can't count how many times I've un-voluntarily heard the drama going on between employees and other people in their lives, or how many times I've experienced employees checking their phones; it is actually laborious to be engaged in pointless conversation with employees who are uneducated as to what they are selling. The employees are mostly grumpy, unapproachable, they appear to be overworked and understaffed. The manager, Ken Necker, is rarely in the store. His private life seems to interfere with his occupation. Tractor supply needs to find a more positive, communicative, and involved manager. Tractor supply also needs to take better care of employees, as we, the customers, have to deal with them to get what we want, and if the company policy is to be agreeable with the customer, then do us a favor and take the necessary steps to maintain employee happiness.

my son worked at the georgetown south carolina tractor store. he really enjoyed the work and helping the customers. but he was only 18 and everyone else was over 18. therefore he was worked really hard. the assistant manager hated him from the start and didnt mind letting the other people know how she felt about him. she would work him from opening today to closing the next. leaveing him and one lead person a list of things to do. When she saw that was not going to discourage him she worked him 16 days without an off day. Previously he had fallen and cut his arm on a sign one night before hand. He went back to work before the week was up by her request. his bill was paid but he never received compusation for the ugly scare he will wear for life. but now after working him ungodly hours since January when he was hired she dropped his hours to 18 a week. she knew he was out on his own and could not make it on these hours. when he called to see when he came in again he was told they had found someone to replace him. Now if this is the way this corp. works we dont want anything to do with it. several of my family and friends fields feel the same way. that assistant manager is rude as many have said. but after working full time hours from January toJune and requesting full times which he was promised he never received. i feel the labor board should be brought in. My family and friends will no longer be a customer of this company after seeing the way they treat there employs first hand. i dont expect them to do anything about this because i feel the company really cares, but for her to hire 3 new part time people while they cut his hours after he was told he would be getting full time is not only unethacle but down right dirty
