Went to the ER for back pain and other symptoms because of that. I was discharged and told to follow up with a spine specialist within 2 days. My primary doctor has been sick for 2+ weeks so I couldn't get an MRI ordered. I called to make an appointment and I was told I couldn't see that doctor even though the ER told me to follow up with him. This boils down to I went to the ER for no reason if I'm not even going to see the Dr I was told to see. Why doesn't the ER know about protocol and allowed to tell me to make a follow up if I can't even see the person im told to.
