I had an office call with Daniel Basinski, a physician assistant, on June 4, 2020. I have been coming to this office for 15 years for arthritis. We decided on this visit that I needed one of the new blood tests that detects allergies to metal, since I have had problems with a left knee replacement done at another hospital. Mr. Basinski told me that Dr. George would call me in a few days to let me know about the blood test, including where to go for it. A week went by, and I didn't hear from Dr. George. Being a patient person, I waited for his call. Finally, I called the office and was told that there was an order put in for the blood test. Apparently, no one was planning to call me and I would have waited forever to get a call from this clinic. The person I spoke with told me the test was only done on the main campus, in Cleveland and she gave me the address and hours, telling me it was open Mon-Fri. I went today Fri. 6-12-20. I live in Erie County so it was a good 50 min. drive. After waiting in the waiting room for about 12 minutes. someone came out and told me that this blood test is ONLY done on Mondays. While very apologetic, it hardly made me feel better. This Orthopedic Clinic on Oak Point Rd. really needs to get their act together - they need to become informed, as well as communicate better with each other - its the patient who suffers when they are knowledgeable and don't communicate with each other.
