On February 8, 2023 I purchased a vehicle from McCluskey payment in full for the amount of $17,666.25. After signing, the salesman explained they would need to perform work on my transmission and I was required to obtain a sixth month insurance policy for the amount of $500. for a one day loaner car.
On Feb 9th they delivered my vehicle. On Feb 12th I contacted McCluskey explaining my vehicle was not shifting correctly and was jerking. In the coming weeks my vehicle only got worse and now is disabled. McCluskey has been unwilling to take responsibility for the lemon that was sold to me.
At signing I was presented with a Carfax report that only indicated my vehicle belonged to a Rental Agency. McCluskey never indicated my vehicle had been in multiple accidents. The Buyers Guide I was required to sign was not complete, lacking the second page which I understand is required by law. I was not offered any Powertrain Protection due to "High Milleage".
I contacted McCluskey Service Department and they provided me information that on Feb 9th they made repairs to the Transmission which suggests McCluskey knew the vehicle had "issues" prior to the sale which wasn't communicated to me till after the sale.
McCluskey knew there was an issue with the vehicle and sold it to me anyhow. The transmission issue was not fixed and and I'm left with 17,666.25 hunk of junk. No one pays 17,666.25 for a vehicle that wont run correctly the next day!
McCluskey claims to OAG they knew nothing about any Transmission issue at the time of sale but knew enough to require a loaner car and perform work on the transmission AFTER the purchase "as a courtesy" which they didn't charge me nor provide any further information, even though I asked if everything was good on the vehicle and was told yes.
Desired outcome: I want McCluskey to take their car back and return my $17,666.25 for the vehicle and the additional $500. For a 6 mth insurance policy.I would also accept a fair trade for a different vehicle for all costs endured.
They are crooks and liars. They scam people into buying junk cars and then tell you its your problem. They don't make things right I have been fighting with these people since February of this year with nothing but lies and deception. I have been through BBB, OAG, FTC, and they have no intentions on making things right.
