Amalgamated Bank

I have had an a checking account with Amalgamated Bank for over 35 years and in the wee hours of this morning (10-20) and a day before my Social Security Direct Deposit is supposed to go into my account I received an email that my checking account has been closed due to no account activity. this is not true. I am a senior citizen and on a fixed income that relies on my check. Now my check cannot be deposited. so where will it go? And I have rent and my credit card bills to pay for the food I order online. I am appalled that I am being treated this way by Amalgamated Bank after being a customer for over three decades. Without this checking account I am forced to deal with a check and subject to getting robbed coming out of a check cashing venue and just generally exposing myself to the COVID-19 pandemic. Amalgamated has always been lauded for its great treatment and respect for "Senior citizens", but what is being done to be smacks of total hypocrisy. Someone in authority at Amalgamated Bank with a sense of conscious Please "Re-open" my checking account. It is my present "lifeline" to deal with my fixed monthly expenses.
