I received a letterwith Reference No. 383873 dated 4/3/15 stating that I owe $79.95 for a product I didn't order. after 5/3/15, a collection fee was supposedly added and $99.95 will be due. I attempted to clarify this debt and dispute it but there was no live person to talk to about this bill at [protected]. This place should be investigated: Collect Pros 311 West Third Street, Carson City, NV 89703
Collect Pros - scam debt collector
I received a letter from Collect Pros, notifying me I owed $332.50, which they were collecting on behalf of Us Weekly Magazine. I have never subscribed nor received an issue, so I contacted Us Weekly. I was informed Us Weekly is aware of this fraud. I was told they have no authorization to conduct business on behalf of the magazine, to disregard any solicitation on Collect Pros behalf, and lastly, that they are working with the Attorney General to stop the deceptive actions of Collect Pro.
I also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and asked them to investigate Collect Pro.
They did very same thing to me. These people at Collection Pros are low life living parasites living from some body else's hard earned money.
Collect Pros - sent a collection letter for something I never purchased. I do not even know what this is about.
I received a letter from a collec Pro dating this is an attempt to close your account. they want $34.94 for a product elite coupon deals and I have no idea what this is. I tried contacting the collect pros and cannot talk to anybody and I can't even find a phone number for elite coupon deals. I don't want my credit to be affected for this issue but I am NOT going to pay it! I did not purchase anything or use this elite coupon deals company in November of 2014 that they are stating I did. If I do not pay by May 3rd they are going to charge me 20 extra dollars. I'm not paying for something I don't even know what it is and I did not purchase or use. for some reason I am unable to upload a picture of the letter it is stating it is too large but if you need a copy I have it.
Thank you,
Susannah Simmons
Collect Pros - scam/ attempting to collect money on a product I never ordered
I received a letter today saying I owed money for a product I never bought! I attempted to call the number listed to explain there must be a mistake and it was automated only! I believe this is a scam! They say I owe 34.94 and if I don't pay now they will add 20.00 dollars for a collection fee! I have never used the product nor did I order anything of this nature online or by phone!
Same fraud here! The collection for Encante products is also a scam. They falsely used celebrities endorsements to make it look legit. They kept sending products each month. I tried to call and # was not in service.
ALL A FRAUD, THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED
I just got a collection letter saying I bought 332.50 worth of us weekly magazine. I donot order magazines in the mail and that is not what I would read to begin with. Usually if I get a subscription it is with my church and my friend gets that for me as a gift. I never order magazines. My friends even say they are trying to get money and so im not sending money for one I dont have to them. I got a person and they were rude and hung up on me.
i received a letter collect pros for 199.20. i never ordered this magazine. i should not be charged for this. thankyou mskir2524@aol.com
I received a letter stating that I owe 365.75 for US Weekly Magazine. I never ordered or received a copy in the mail. I tried to write a dispute on their website www.collectpros.c/dispute. This website took me to the business page to make payment. There was no where to write a dispute.
My 18 year old son received a collection from Collect Pros stating that he owed $249.10 for US Weekly Magazine. Never ordered the subscription and have never received a copy of it in the mail. SCAM!
Just received a collection notice for Us magazine for $365.75! I checked Us magazine subscription rate & it's 52 issues for only $35! Why would I pay for over 10 yrs worth of magazines? I have never subscribed to Us magazine. I called the telephone # given & the person was very rude & offered me a one time offer of only .25 per dollar owed. Why would I give them even a penny? Told I can only dispute a charge at their web site. What a scam!
I received a letter today stating that I owe 332.50 Dollars. I never ordered the magazine Us Weekly and I will not pay for something I didn't order or want. It is a scam and I don't appreciate it . It is a mistake since I never received one issue!
Sincerely Mrs Brigitte Dyer
Received a letter today, 5/11/15, from Collect Pros, stating that I owe over $300 for a magazine that I never ordered and have never received. I know this must be a scam and I have no intent of paying.
I received a letter today about a US Weekly magazine bill for $274.05 I have never received any magazine or ordered any magazine. Ido not owe these people anything. This is a scam, The letter is from COLLECT PROES
I just received a letter today claiming I owe money for something that I never ordered or received.
Collect Pros - fraud
I received a collection letter on an issue for merchandise that was a fraud to begin with. I resolved the issue with the merchandise company supposedly located in Florida whose call center was in Pennsylvania or Georgia. It could have been in Indonesia or India for all I knew. The bogus charge was credited back to my charge card and the matter settled. So I thought. That incident happened in 2014. Now this "courtesy notice of balance due to close account" from Collect Pros. I am going to have one of the attorneys in our office handle this. I am about to post the scam on our website with the rest of the fraud scams attacking senior citizens.
I received a notice that I owe $99.01 for product that I have not received and I will not pay for product that I didn't get. The reference number is 1074312 and this is fraud claim.
I ordered a sample of this product and then every month I received more product that I did not order. After the 2ed month of receiving more product that was not ordered and was charged to my Credit Card, I call the company and told them I did not order any more product and I do not want any more product and not to charge my Credit Card any more. They agreed, so why, if they wanted payment, did they not just charge my Credit Card like they did the other times the sent me the unwanted product?
I received a collections letter from "Collect Pros" for and order I did not order & had returned to the company. The company may also be a fraud as the phone number is not & has not been in service. This company needs to be brought before some kind of board & their business shut down. Collect Pros has messed with the wrong lady.
Similar situation for my mom today, 5/28/15. Letter on pink paper indicating she owed $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine. She also called and got the recording to write a dispute letter or go online to dispute and if she doesn't pay or dispute in 30 days next actions will be taken. Of course she never ordered or received any magazines and $365.75 for magazines is a pretty ridiculous notion so these scammers aren't even very smart about it. I'm glad she asked me about it before she went on line and possibly got tricked into providing information.
Thanks to all for reporting this as now I feel better telling her to throw the letter in the garbage and not give it another thought.
I received a Pink Notice stating I owe $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly, Which I Never Ordered and Never Received. I knew this was a Scam. I can't believe people can do this to other people. I hope Karma gets them back 10-fold and they get arrested and convicted harshly for what they are doing to people! A Concerned Citizen for Others: Wendy in Arizona.
I too just received a notice of collections from Collect Pros on a pink piece of paper for $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine that indicated I was past due for a magazine ordered in February 2011. The letter reflected an address in Woburn, MA for collections. The letter was mailed from a Carson City, NV address, and the postage was generated out of Tampa FL. Of course, I have been unable to contact either Collection Pros or Entertainment Weekly Magazine by phone What can be done to close this "supposedly" collection agency down?!
I recv this PINK letter today as well for US Weekly mag that I have never ordered for $299.25. First clue this is a fake was on the outside envelope that said "this is not a solicitation do not throw away" .A legit bill NEVER says that on the envelope...so tired of this crap. Second clue is its on PINK paper, legit bills are not on colored paper. I truly hope no one actually paid anything to this company.
same exact happened to me --pink collection letter sent to me regarding a past issue that was settled in dec 2014 and finalized in jan 2015 using my credit card agent specialing in scams--called that company and they said collect pros have been issuing collection letters on any disputes made with their company and since all those problems with letters going out they have dropped them as a valid collector--I sent out a formal dispute letter to cease and desist to collect pros and advised they change their names because they are not "PROS"
I received a letter for a debt collection for 365.75 for entertainment weekly since last yr for non payment, never subscribed to this magazine+ nor did we ever received it when I tried to call in to speak with someone I was told I had to dispute it online, and there was not a supervisor available to speak with me. When I filled out the form I was told to go to another site. This is a scam don't fall for it
I also got a 79.95 charge from Mango cleanse and if I don't resolve or pay it will be 99.95 in 30 days the problem is there is no way that you can reach a live customer service for collect pros. I don't even know or receive anything from mango cleanse. I don't know who to contact to or what to do. I don't think I will way anything for this company if there are no one to explain what I did own and the original company I can resolve the issue with.
Collect Pros - collections scam
Recieved a letter in the mail from a collection agency which is being run out of a house in Carson City NV. The letter states that I have charge that is in collections for somthing, someone called Pure Garcinia. I have attempted to call this shady operation but not to my surprise, there is no one who answers the phone. Would be curious to hear from others who may have recieved a similar letter as I will be pursuing legal action to it's fullest including making a trip to his little yellow house and dragging him out into the street bu his ears.
Already reported my experience above...Just reported complaint to fbi via phone...There phone# is [protected]. I was informed to file a complaint online at www.Ic3.Gov...Lets go get them please everybody!
I bought a "Trial" size of Absolute GARCINIA...was 2 be charged for shipping only. I used my debit card and received 2 big bottles of which I did not ORDER. I never opened up the bottles, I was afraid the ingredients would kill me. A couple of weeks later my account was fradulently charged...like the Lion I am I called them 3 times and told them I was going to sue them. I went to my bank and destroyed my card and was issued another from my bank. When I got home I had a message on my voicemail box that they would credit me a "partial" amount. Again the Lion in me called this lady back ( and I recorded it) I told her I just won a legal case last year and I would not hesitate to sue them for damages. She responded..." you will have your full refund by tomorrow" and I did. I thought this would be the last I would hear from these scanners BUT 9 MONTHS LATER I GET A COLLECTION NOTICE IN THE MAIL. THEY HAVE MOVED FROM CA. TO NEVADA. THEY HAVE AN "F" RATING AND THE GOVERMENT ARE PRESENTLY INVESTIGATING THESE SCUMS OF THE EARTH. PLS REPORT THEM TO BBB ONLINE AND NOTIFY YOUR NEAREST CONSUMER INVESTIGATOR!
I also received a letter from COLLECT PROS LLC dated 12 October 2016 demanding the payment for an Overdue Balance of $44.92, owed for a product by the name of "Dark Spot". I have no idea of who they are or what business they are in or their product. Someone must have been up in the night and dreamed up these scams and sent them via snail mail. The debt MUST be paid in full within 30 days (12 November 2016) of this letter. In the middle of the letter they had inserted: "The above-referenced balance in the amount of $176.78 (HUH?) due within 30 days of receipt of this letter". SAY, WHAT? TWO DFFERENT AMOUNTS, NEITHER OF WHICH DO I OWE! What is "Dark Spot"? These shysters don't know if they are on foot or horseback and have THREATENED that: "As required by Utah law, you (I) are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting on your (my) credit report reflecting on your (my) credit record may be su bmitted too a credit reporting agency if you (I) fail to fulfill the terms of your (my) credit obligations". What will it take to persuade COLLECT Pro LLC to cease and desist this harassment by threatening the elderly and ALL recipients through psychological and financial fear and abuse. Perhaps a visit to our Attorney General will get their attention.
Hey all you guys and girls scammed by some company?
This just happened to us 10/2016. We sent in two $4.75 charges back in Feb. 2016 for a free samples ($4.75 paid for shipping). Products DermFi and Rejuven8 Now they want to collect a Total $176.78.
Do we contact Federal Government or maybe Nevada Government My letter states to send the monies to 12924 Pierce St #101 Pacoima, Ca.
Anybody have any answers please let us all know.
I paid for the product when ordered at a very low price, I have now received a letter from Collect Pros for $159.90, their attempt to collect a debt I do not owe!
Mine is the same thing I ordered the trial I also cancelled the trial before I was supposed to and I write everything on my calendar including the confirmation number they gave me!
When I called Encante the cream place they gave me 1 number after another who I was supposed to call 5 numbers later ( all with the same answering machine just different young kids!) I get some girl who proceeds to tell me I didn't call to cancel! I told her I have it all written down including my cancel # on the date on the calendar! She said well you didn't call and it's to late now we can't do anything once it goes to collections! I said yeah why if I owed you money why didn't you contact me? Because she said they don't do that! Not once did they ever attempt to collect money from me after I cancelled! She said they tried and my card it was declined. That cant possibly be true my payments for other things automatically come off those accounts so I am going to call my bank tom. To make sure they didn't get any money from me but I never received any product that I owe them for! So this $188.48 charge is a true scam! If they did get money off my account I will be filing charges!
I'm lucky enough to have an attorney in my family and I will not hesitate to find out what I can do about this! Sad thing is these people are probably getting paid by some people I would love to get the word out about this company and destroy there fraudulent claims! I feel sorry for anyone who falls victim to these people!
I also want to add when I was calling those numbers and kept getting the same answering machine for Encante they told me they answer for several different products all in the one call center so I would not be surprised if all these lotions or gacinia, serums whatever are all one in the same and funny thing is mine dates back to Oct. 21st when I cancelled they waited that long hoping I would forget and just pay this Money I DO NOT OWE!
This is 9 months ago I cancelled lucky I keep my old calendars! I also got a new bank card since then but I just got my new card in May so I really need to check my bank!
I wonder how many people are getting charged for stuff they don't get or want! Or this collection letter how many more people got these that paid what they don't owe!
Collect pros are just a scam running with these other companies stealing from innocent people they should be locked up!
About a year ago I ordered a free trial offer and paid for shipping. Didn't like the product, made my face break out. Never reordered. Now they are saying I owe them $197.72
They have changed their address if anyone is looking for them to-

BEWARE, YET ONE MORE SCAM ‼️ CollectPros letter states I owe 99.01 for product from Encante Eye. Ordered trial version only - canceled within 2 weeks of order! I am reporting both CollectPros, LLC to BBB & Encante Eye with a letter of dispute today ! BEWARE: THIS IS A SCAM❗️☹️☹️ all reviews & complaints online agree with this customer!
Collect Pros is a SCAM. Do not send any money to them, instead report them to the BBB, and maybe these thieves will stop preying on innocent people.
I received a similar letter from Collect Pros in the mail saying that I owe $84.90 for a product that was a free sample. I paid shipping and handling with my card and received the product in the mail. I understood that if I kept my name on file, they would start to automatically charge me, but my credit card was stolen and I froze it and got a new card. Weeks later I received a call from the company I bought the free sample from. It was a lady that sounded like she was from India and English was her second language. I could barely understand her! But I did understand that she was trying to charge me more money and said I'd get 5% off my next purchase if I signed up for something (I don't know. It didn't make sense to me), but I told her to cancel everything and to take my name off of the charging list and apparently she didn't do so.
