Branson's Nantucket - Unauthorized credit card charges

My wife and I bought a package with Nantucket in November of 2020. We have not been able to use it. I contacted customer service in June of 2022 to make reservations for our 34th wedding anniversary. They offered me a comp stay if I would sit through another presentation. We went to Branson in July. When we went to our meeting the salesman was trying to figure out why we hadn't been back, he said that Nantucket was supposed to have invited us back to explain how their package works. Anyway the presentation was for an upgrade, another $18,000 bucks. They make it sound sooo glorious, it's hard to turn down...yep, we took the bait and upgraded. That night my wife and I had a big discussion about it. The next morning, before the New owners breakfast, I called our salesman and told him we wanted to cancel our upgrade and he said he would take care of it. I would think that would be sufficient. He did not say anything about us having to put it in writing. We packed our bags and went home after that call. About a month later, my wife was checking her credit card and there were 2 charges, $1400 for down payment and the other was a $332 monthly payment. We then got a statement in the mail for another $100 monthly payment on "their" credit card as part of the $3000 down payment. We then got a statement from the POA for $1200. I called customer service and explained the situation. She said I had 5 days from the purchase to send, in writing, cancellation notice. I looked at our contract and seen where it stated that, but we were literally 6 floors beneath them in the tower, 16 hours after we signed the deal when I told the salesman we wanted to cancel. She said the conversation was my word against salesman and it was too late to cancel. I called my salesman, no answer, I text my salesman 2 different dates, No reply. He finally called me back, said he talks to 3 people a day and he didn't remember, I told him remember, I called you around 6 AM on Saturday before breakfast and told you our situation? Oh yeah, I remember. He said I might have said something like, " I will tell them that you would be cancelling ". Then he said, I think you have 5 days to put it in writing. I was livid.

I told him that I already had talked to customer service. He said he would pull our file and see if he could talk to someone. A week went by , no reply. I contacted customer service again and gave them the updates of communication. They said again," it's too late". I asked for the next person on the ladder to speak to, she would not give me another person to talk to. I text my salesman and he finally text me back and said "sorry Mr.____ there's nothing I can do"

Desired outcome: Complete refund of all money I have spent with them.

Branson's Nantucket - Broken promises

Bought into with promise could use points to go other places with rci partnership, rci dropped them, then they said could us advantage to travel elsewhere, they eliminated exchange program after 2 weeks we bought, and offered to take 56000 points and give $300 off a trip or pay maintenance only, Nantucket then invited back for update visit, to find out they alternative now was interval if we paid $58,200. We rejecte. Called upon return to use our 59000 points for 4-5 bedrooms either in one unit or in individual units. Advised 6-27 none available single, group, house through December. Isn’t it a coincidence that 47000 of our points expire January. Feel return of original purchase price is warranted as they lie make promises can’t fulfill!

Desired outcome: Reimbursement original price paid $17998 without penalty for falsifying promises and feel final straw just left there 6-9-6-12 and now 6-27 trgying book and have no availability. Feel retaliation for not buying interval also.

Branson's Nantucket - Timeshare purchase fraud

We went to Branson MO Aug. 2021. We attended a timeshare tour at Branson Nantucket on 8/2. We were misled during the presentation & the paperwork that stated we had a certain amt. of annual points, 12,233, 1 bedroom, season red, which were supposed to afford a vacation anywhere in the world through RCI, Advantage & another exchange club every year. After a couple of months of setting up our acct. & getting our points, I went to check into using them. It turned out that the points, to which they said would get us up to multiple bedrooms. which we thought we bought, wasn't enough to deposit. It would take 3 years to dep. with Advantage & even if we could deposit with RCI, it wouldn't even get us a studio. They are supposed to be a gold resort & have high value in an exchange. This was supposed to be every year, anytime, for a min. of a 1 bdrm. There is nothing in the documents about the min. dep. amts. for any. I found out through many phone calls. We expected RCI to remain a part of the program because we use it every year prior, which they knew, but they discontinued them on 12/23. That only left Advantage, which is of no use to those with such little points. Also, they opened 2 credit cards, one in my name & one in my husband's for $5,000 & $4,000 respectfully. We never gave them permission for any card in my husband's name. They were using them for money down on the timeshare purchase. I had to contact Barclay multiple times over months before the card was finally closed. The card affected my husband's credit. We cannot use this timeshare anywhere but in Branson. That is not what we agreed to & were not told differently. They knew we lived on the other side of the country. I tried calling them repeatedly & got nowhere. They lied about their affiliation with RCI & the points value & use. This was a scam to get you to go back to their resort repeatedly. They were supposed to be a part of an exchange program which accepted our points annually that we could use to travel throughout the world. This is not the case. We can't travel anywhere, but Branson, until 3 years after our purchase. We bought annual points, but they are really tri-annual. We did not agree to such a purchase. We travel every year and they knew that.

Desired outcome: We want a full refund. We paid it in full. $15,698 + $479 3 yrs. of maintenance. fees = $16,177.

I did report them to the AG and the BBB. They did a general reply to the BBB, so it never really got addressed. The AG did nothing, but then later sent me another department to contact, which I will be doing this year. I paid Advantage up for a few years, only to find out in December that they are no longer an exchange company and I had to join Interval. So far, I paid 3 exchange companies since buying in 2021, RCI, which dropped them, Advantage, which is now a discount travel company, and now Interval, the latest exchange company. What the heck! The maintenance fees in December went up to $625.00 from $479 in 2 years. They said it rarely goes up, maybe a few dollars a year. I will keep trying to get them to refund all money. I have no choice but to pay things so I don't ruin my credit and case against them.

Attended the Timeshare presentation on 09/12/2022 - Package Bought - Pathfinder Package (Timeshare owner Trial Package). Customer buys the trial package and try with staying at the Branson Nantucket, if the customer satisfactory with Branson Nantucket stay and the customer service provided overall then customer has an option to become a timeshare owner.

The contract is between Buyer/Customer (Dominic & Jenifer) Provider/Seller Branson Nantucket (Nantucket Representative)The contract made with the agreement that the customer to pay for the Pathfinder Package and Provider/seller to provide satisfatory customer service.

We were told that the VIP Concierge (third party provider for reservation for Nantucket Branson Point system) [protected] is an excellent company with 100% satisfactory to plan a vacation and they do price match and refund if the company unable to price match. I called re told that the VIP Concierge (third party provider for reservation for Nantucket Branson Point system) [protected] VIP Concierge several times to understand how the program works and tried to plan a trip, but the operator attended the call and couple of mins later the call got disconnected, I was not able to talk to anyone after calling more than dozen times. To validate further, I called Nantucket Branson to requesting explaination of the benefits and options and also conveyed to them that I called VIP Concierge and no valid response received. The representative didn't even responded back to the question, but they answered with rudeness and treated me like a victim and referring to "you signed a contract" and said that you have no option but to pay for what you agreed, despite whether you like the service or not. I was explaining to them over a phone conversation about my experience and requesting find better solution, the representative hang up the call. I spoke several times with Heather and Owner Care Desk,

Branson's Nantucket — Timeshare purchase fraud

At this point, based on my experience, and the reviews of people writing their observation similar to mine, I do not trust that Branson Nantucket capable of providing promised customer service. So far the experiences with Branson Nantuckets customer relations are not only unsatisfactory, the way they communicated was totally unacceptable.Hence the expected services are not provided and not met as promised/advertised, I am writing this to cancel the agreement and requesting not to charge my credit card or report it to a collection agencies.

The least I am expecting is mutually end the contract and Not have mutual obligation between both parties.

Thank you Dominic & Jenifer (1BNX-41-)

Report them to your local general attorney, the one in MO too. Also, FTC and BBB. The more complaints to these places the better chance they'll get shut down. It's time we stood up and took action against this company. Laws need to change regarding timeshare companies we need America to protect us from this American Nightmare!

Branson's Nantucket - Timeshare scam

I was misled into purchasing a very expensive timeshare by Branson's Nantucket that we did not want. The sales people are relentless and push you into signing their deal. My husband Jack and I are senior citizens and we are both in declining health and I am now suffering from memory issues, and had to get my son Jeff to help write this complaint for us. We owned a timeshare with Wyndham from 2014 and used our points to travel to Branson, MO in 2018. We were approached about going to a timeshare meeting while there and we told them we were not interested in another timeshare, we were looking for help to get us out of the Wyndham contract, and the agent told us they could do that so we went to the presentation. Once they started talking it became very aggressive and told us that we should purchase a timeshare with THEIR resort, and that they would get us out of the old contract so that we would be paying less and have a better situation. Due to my memory issue I am not really capable of understanding financial programs, and the agents ganged up and somehow convinced us to buy a NEW timeshare with them for $45K with down payment of $9711 a "loan" of $36, 449 with an interest rate of 18.9%. After we "bought" the new timeshare, they had a different representative come over who said he would help us exit the Wyndham timeshare. They asked some questions and had us fill out paperwork and we paid them an additional $1600 but nothing happened. My family is angry at the way they took advantage of senior citizens with significant health issues and we called a few days later to try and cancel but were told it was too late and convinced us that we should give them a chance. We went back there in hopes of talking to someone to get out of the deal, and had a "horrible experience." We did not have the "great view" we had been promised. We were stuck in a small apartment setting on the ground floor that was much smaller and different than what had been described.
We have asked Branson to release us from this contract, we are unable to travel and were misled into signing, but they have been ignoring us and their collection agents call and verbally abuse me and tell me they will wreck my credit. We need help.

Desired outcome: Release from the contract-stop collection calls

If you still need help, get a hold of Lonestar Transfer. These attorneys are highly regarded and they will help you. Look them up. Below is a copy of what they say.

“Lonestar Transfer Our primary service is our title transfer service. This service helps burdened timeshare owners by legally transferring their timeshare property title out of their name. Once the transfer is complete, all financial liability is removed from the previous owners.”
