My wife and I are raising 4 boys, and I lost my job when Covid shut down my dept at work. I am now starting a new job but we have been struggling so hard with gas prices and food prices up so high.
My wife is permanently disabled and she just broke her leg in 2 places, so I have to get her prescriptions from time to time. We are literally struggling to put foods on the table and when I politely ask the pharmacy tech to run all 3 discount cards to help with the $23.00 cost of the medicine, she is rude. Immediate tone of voice change. Tells me I can't wait in the drive through even though no one was behind me because she has to scan all 3 cards. WHAT?!?! I left and came back 5 minutes later and waited another 3 minutes before she came to the window. Saved me $10.00! :D When I get home I tell my wife and she says,"I'm sorry honey, they are rude to me about it too." WOW! Not ok!
The point is, this pharmacy should care about me and my family and want to save us money. Instead they make you fight for the discount and feel terrible pulling away from the store. Do your job, pharmacy techs, and HELP the families you serve. Don't make them fight to save money for their families, like you make me fight for it.
Desired outcome: I would like Walgreens to retrain the pharmacy techs on good polite customer service. I would like Walgreens to help them understand we are the reason they have a job, we are not an inconvenience.
