My son purchased two sweat pants at the hanes store at wrentham, ma outlets on 11/22/2020. We didn't try them on in the store because of covid-19 but decided to return them after my son did at home and didn't like the fit. We returned to the same store and was told by the associate she would accept the grey pants but not the black. When asked why she said, "i'm not accepting that". I ask why a few times and received the same response. I asked if the reason was because it was black and you could see the dust on the black pants and was told, "other people return black things and they don't look like that". I told her I have a lint roller in my car and could roll it out but was told..."no"... I kept both pants because both my son and I was very confused especially after we witnessed the associate assisting the customer before us so well. As I was leaving the associate said, "i'm here all day and if my manager was here she would not accept it either". I still don't understand why the associate didn't accept my return, why she didn't give me a reason for not accepting my return and why she was so rude to my son and myself but so nice to the customers before us.
Desired outcome: I would like to return my items
