Costco - Cashier yelling at elderly

Kona, Hawaii- Cashier Sara also works in Optical Department. Witnessed her yelling at a grandmother in wheelchair purchasing groceries with her 7 year old granddaughter. To see the embarrassment and heartache of that child for her grandmother is why I am writing this. We are in a tense situation right now.. there were NO signs indicating we had to stand behind the "blue line" taped with painters tape in the ground. As a mother of six working two jobs we all get tired.. that gives you no right to mistreat this lady. Especially at a time when we are embracing our elders. Shame on you. If you cannot handle the stress do not work as a cashier.

Costco - women's clothing in the store.

I've been a member since the kona store has opened. The women's section of the clothing in the store is a joke. They have like two tables of women's clothing, compared to tables and tables of men's clothing. The women's clothing is always unattractive, and doesn't seem to sell, the same merchandise is there week after week because it is really ugly, and the fabrics are always poor quality. It has gotten much worse for the past 2-3 years now.

I think your regional manager has something against women that he neglects to order anything wearable for women. It is frustrating to see so much new and attractive apparel for men displayed all over the store.. And nothing for women!

Also, I know costco kona is the only game in town for food, and therefore it's easy to just carry the same tired very limited selection of food month after month. But when I go to shop and there isn't even any lettuce, or little else in the produce room, or no bread only those terrible bagels in the bread section, that means I have to go out of my way to just get basic items that every grocery store should carry.

I think someone is really dropping the ball in the kona store. The selection and the care is no longer there, management seems indifferent in the merchandising.

Sorry to complain, but otherwise the mediocre costco experience this community is stuck with may become the future norm for ever.

You can do better.

Truly,
Shannon monkowski
