Barnes & Noble Booksellers - Treatment of an employee by the assistant manager

I’ve watched over the last year a lot of billing of an employee at the Athens GA store. I haven’t seen this man for several weeks now. His name is Bob. Over the years I’ve watched him work well with the customer’s and co workers. I also saw this same woman, young lady, run another employee off. I’ve watched this asst. manager laugh and cut up with other employees while Bob is working, changing book layouts. Working on the bookshelves, the other things such as setting up displays. He was always helpful. Yes, he may get beside himself, flustered but, others would too. I watched her chew him out, in front of other employees AND customers. This is harassment, this is billing. Bob won’t complain. He is to passive. I’ve never seen him say an unkind word to anyone. I believe he won’t do any reprimand in front of another employee or customer. B&N has let a good man leave their store. I travel and for over 20 years this had been the cleanest, easiest, store to find what I was looking for. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars in this store . Because he was treated as unkindly as he was, no longer there. I will never walk on in this Athens store again. I would go in sit drink coffee, and watch. And I watched that man be/get mistreated. It’s a shame. And it’s this woman I watched. You let a kind hard working man leave. Look at his records. He was a good employee.
You should transfer him to another store out even of her area.
Sincerely, a loyal customer until now,
Martha Crawford

Claimed loss: The inside ease of looking for a certain book, and the beauty of the displays

Desired outcome: Bob Good to transfer out of bully girls reach
