Fresco Y Mas - Discriminatory behavior in the self-pay area

I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply troubling incident that occurred during my recent visit to Fresco Market. On 04/19/2024, at approximately 6:45 pm, one of your employees, "L" (employee initial), subjected me to discriminatory behavior in the self-pay area. As a loyal customer of Fresco Market for 15 years, I have always valued the convenience and quality of service provided by your establishment. However, my most recent experience has left me feeling distressed and disheartened.

Upon attempting to make my purchase at the self-pay area for the fourth time, I was met with unwarranted suspicion and hostility from “L”. She unfairly racially profiled me, despite my being a senior individual of Black and Hispanic descent. "L" (employee initial)'s demeanor and actions implied that I was somehow unwelcome or suspicious solely based on my race. Additionally, I observed another employee adopting an unprofessional and judgmental attitude towards me, evident from their facial expressions. This behavior, characterized by an "ugly face," further exacerbated the distressing nature of the situation. It felt as though I was being treated as a potential shoplifter rather than a valued customer.

Racial profiling and discrimination have no place in any establishment, let alone one as esteemed as Fresco Market. Such behavior not only violates my rights as a customer but also goes against the principles of equality and respect that should be upheld by all employees.

I urge you to take immediate and appropriate action in addressing this matter. It is imperative that steps are taken to ensure that incidents of racial profiling are not tolerated within your organization. This may include providing sensitivity training to all staff members, conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, and implementing measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

I would appreciate a prompt response regarding the steps being taken to address this issue. As a valued customer, I hope to see decisive action taken to uphold the integrity and inclusivity of Fresco Market. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will handle it with the seriousness and urgency it deserves.

Fresco Y Mas - Complaint regarding underweight dinner at the deli area and only 4 "fried yucas"

I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of service I received at your Fresco y Más Supermarket (located at 8424 Sheldon Rd, Tampa), specifically regarding the underweight dinner I purchased from the Deli Area. The dinner consisted of only three spoons of rice, which is an unacceptable portion size and does not meet the reasonable expectations of a meal.

As a loyal customer, I have always appreciated the convenience and variety offered by your supermarket. However, this recent experience has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I believe it is crucial to address this issue promptly to maintain the trust and satisfaction of your customers.
