I picked up 5 new prescriptions for an upcoming surgery on Friday, 5/19 at the CVS Pharmacy: 1952 Park Avenue Orange Park, FL 32073. I’ve never had any of these prescriptions filled before. The technician checking me out stated that two of the prescriptions shouldn’t be taken together and put them in the bag. I asked her to take those two out again so I could see the names (I took a quick screenshot of those two ex’s to remember). I paid and was on my way. Two days later I was putting the prescriptions in my cabinet and noticed one needed to be reforested but was never told. I called the pharmacy on 5/21 to explain and asked what their policy was for telling customers certain prescriptions needed to be refrigerated. The pharmacist, Nova Ignacio laughed at me and said I should have read the label. I was really taken back because I could not believe she was laughing. I asked her if she was the pharmacist because I could not believe a pharmacist of all people working at the pharmacy would laugh at a customer for not reading the rx label. I told her I didn’t find anything funny and that I did not appreciate her laughing at me for not reading the label. She then completely changed her attitude and offered to exchange the prescription in which I am going to do (it’s out of stock and has to be ordered). My concern beyond her laughing at me and being completely unprofessional, is that she told me it is a courtesy to tell customers about refrigerating medication. I’m pretty intelligent so lesson learned, I will now read every label since apparently this isn’t something that has to be told to customers. I worry about young patients with children and elderly people. I really hope this policy changes and they tell patients when a prescription needs to be refrigerated. I also hope this pharmacist never insults the intelligence of another customer at CVS. I will never go to this pharmacy again and will tell everyone I know to not do so as well.

Desired outcome: Please make it a policy to tell customers when prescriptions need to be refrigerated. I worry about the elderly and you parents with children. I hope Nova Ignacio the pharmacist doesn’t speak to customers like this again
