Cinemark - management

I worked for the Cinemark and it was horrible. I was accused of liking one of the managers and I was talked about by them for four months straight. (Longer than that, but not for this specific issue) They would talk about me while I was standing literally right next to them. It was awful and caused me to become depressed. It's also very relevant to say that said manager was raising his eyebrows at me straightening his tie and [censored] like that around me. Way too close to me. I also glared at him one time for getting to close to me and that was the day before the rest of the management started talking about me. I was told that they were just teasing me. They were bullying me.

At one point I was told by both management and employees that the general manager liked to take screen shots from the camera to send to the other managers. (He works as GM in Texas now. I'm sure that's going great for everyone involved. ) I was being threatened honestly by management that A) Does not know how to manage. and B) Does not care to do better. They were basically saying, in case you don't already feel threatened enough, we would like to let you know that there are cameras and you are being watched. One manager went and pointed to the cameras. Like thanks, I'm aware. That's absolutely part of the problem.

It got to the point very quickly where I didn't trust any of my coworkers and especially the management. I still don't. At least I left. I still wish I had done it sooner.

They consistently belittled me and treated me like I could do nothing right. They needed someone to feel as incompetent as they are.

Truthfully, they can't see their own problems, but they will jump at any opportunity to go after a non-assertive employee or someone who they believe fits that description. I enjoyed playing the blame game with all of you. I don't know who they are going after now, but good luck dude(s), you will need it. Because they won't stop until they make you completely miserable. And even then they most likely will not be satisfied.

Most of the managers I'm talking about have already left, but this happened in Colorado Springs. And I have no doubt that these kind of problems are very common within the Cinemark. Keep playing favorites. Great management techniques 101.

I would also like to say that fear tactics (i.e. writing people up all the time) are not viable ways of managing people. Maybe learn how to manage. Although I will admit that you probably weren't trained well and only made management because you've worked there forever (and most likely will continue that trend)

And before you act like it's terrible that I would say this I want you to go ahead and ask yourselves if you think it was okay to talk about me instead of to me in the first place.

Managers are supposed to inspire/motivate their employees, instead you actively demotivate them.

I wouldn't care about such a low level job if it hadn't made me want to die. There are a lot of problems within this company. TOXIC.
