Regal Cinemas reviews and complaints 1
View all 171 complaintsRegal Cinemas - I am aware very few disputes are resolved. Regal theaters refused to honor a pass given for a movie not shown.
On August 23, 2023, at 4 p.m. at the Edwards Regal in Mira Mesa, a part of San Diego, CA, there was supposed to be a preview screening of the movie "Golda" with a Q & A with the main actress and director. A large crowd of mostly elderly patrons waited patiently and politely in the otherwise quiet theater, as the time ticked by. most of the patrons had arrived in busses. Most left by 4:45. My husband and I stayed until 5 pm, when a manager came in and told us this presentation had been canceled and gave us free passes to either a later showing of the movie or another movie at any Regal theater. I was only interested in this showing and the hope of meeting with my peers after the movie to discuss it. my husband, who kindly drove me through rush hour traffic to get to the rare movie, took me out to eat in the shopping center, so we could return on time for the 7 p.m. showing. when we returned, a different manager refused to honor our passes. She in fact, threw up her hands and said she couldn't use these passes. She said it was Fathom production. We even had another receipt from the show (See attached). she said there was no one else we could talk to.
Desired outcome: Refund, explanation, working customer service phone number
