Fitness 19

I have complained about this issue in the past (Aug 3, 2023) and have not seen any improvement as of Sept 5, 2023. I have gone to this gym at least 15 times in the past month. The issue is inappropriate music playing at the Fitness 19 on Jarvis Ave in Newark, CA. As I mentioned in my 1st complaint, I did not complain to the local management since it was readily apparent that all of them were under 30yrs of age and apparently, this is the kind of music they prefer (rap/hip-hop). One of the "7 Rules to Live By" that Fitness 19 has posted in the gym is to "Be Mindful". The staff at this facility needs to be mindful of the fact that they have a diverse clientele... various ages (from 18 to 80), and multiple ethnicities. Not everyone likes rap/hip-hop. Fitness 19 should live up to it's posted Gym Eitiquette rules and be more "mindful" of the diversity of their clientele and play more mainstream music (I would suggest KOIT as something everyone could agree upon). Evey though each facility is independently owned and operated, I do believe that in order to keep the franchise name, you have to abide by the corporate standards. Is this one of Fitness 19's core values and this is why it's allowed?

My wife and I went to the fitness 19 in Newark (6203 Jarvis Avenue Newark, CA) on 8/3/23, 8/5, & 8/7 between 11:30 & 12:30pm. The music that was playing from the gym’s speakers was inappropriate for the majority of your customers. We did not complain to the staff on site since it would've been a waste of time. It was readily apparent that all of them were under 30yrs of age and apparently, this is the kind of music they prefer (rap/hip-hop). The gym should play music that is acceptable to the majority of all of its clients as is the case in other Fitness 19 gyms we have visited. Please inform the management at this gym that their customers are composed of all ethnicities and ages and therefore should play music that is more mainstream or… don’t play music at all.
