Vons - Closing early

After getting off work at 1030 pm and rush to my local vons to grab 1 pack of hot dog buns for myself and my husband to make something to eat for us, I arrive at 10:54 and this location is already closed and turning me away. I depend on your locations closing at 11 pm. I would hope that this is not something that you encourage your store managers to do. Now I have to drive an extra 20 mins to find a store that is open on top of working a 10 hour day.

Desired outcome: Stop letting you store managers close their stores early.

Vons - Staff, service, etc.

This Vons is so poorly run! They make "rules" but don't enforce them uniformly, if at all. The staff are surly and take every opportunity to scold customers. There has never been a waiting line to get in until very recently.
Today, while waiting in line FOREVER just to get inside (haven't they heard that CA is opening back up again?) the nasty lady in charge of admissions actually let a guy right in just because he was coming to pick up flowers. I was only coming in to pick up broccoli, but I had to wait. Then, when my turn finally came, she actually hollered at me to get in because it was my turn. Unbelievable. I brought a single bag from home to carry my broccoli home because I had walked to store. Some lady was practically on top of me in the checkout line, but nobody corrected her. Anyway, I was using the pad to enter my debit card and holding the bag in my left hand, not making any move to lay it down anywhere...but the very rude cashier scolded me, saying that I'm not allowed to put my grocery bag on the belt. Not only was I past the belt without putting my bag on it, I never had any intention of laying it down at all.
Everyone working in that store is rude, rude, rude...and power-hungry. They just love telling people what to do and how to do it.
I live within walking distance of this store but choose to drive 5 miles out of my way to Ralphs, where the staff are courteous and helpful--and where I have never been scolded.

Vons - Confusing promotion & cashier vanessa

This incident occurred on 07/17/19 at 21:35. REF: [protected].

The Vons at my location currently has a promotion for fresh french bread. The promotion states that "Fact is, our french bread is HOT between 4-7 pm, or it's FREE." (See attached image.) This statement is confusing because it could mean that (1) if the bread is not hot between 4-7 pm, it'd be free, or (2) if it's not between 4-7 pm the bread would be free. I thought (2) was reasonable because wouldn't the store want to get rid of all the bread that ended up not being sold the same day it was baked by making it free? If it is instead saved and sold tomorrow then the bread wouldn't fit the promotion description because it would no longer be "fresh".

I took the bread regardless but raised my confusion POLITELY to my cashier — Vanessa — asking if the bread is free because it's no longer hot and it's also no longer 4-7 pm.
However, rather than being answered with something polite like "I'm sorry for the confusion but...", I was instead met with "It's 9:34 right now, hun" with the most condescending and annoyed tone.

(1) I am not blind nor stupid, I can read the time myself, (2) "hun" is not an appropriate term to address a customer, especially not in that condescending tone, (3) I know customers are not always right, but I did nothing to warrant an attitude like the one I received from Vanessa.

Desirable resolutions:
(1) I ask for the promotion description to be changed so that confusion like this can be avoided.
(2) I ask for my cashier Vanessa, as well as other staff members that would interact with customers, to be better trained for customer service so that they know how to resolve customer's confusions effectively and, most importantly, politely, because cashiers like Vanessa, who gives attitude without being provoked, are the sole reason why I prefer using self check out.
(3) Please make some self check out stations so customers won't even have a chance of stumbling into another Vanessa.

Please let me know how you plan to resolve my complaint. You can reach me at [protected]@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time.
