Ross Dress for Less

10:10am 3/30/2024 Fort Smith, AR - 3-4 employees (1 was the cashier ringing up my transaction ) all discussing how much they "hate customers" and how they are inconvenienced by us being there. Also complaining about the policy of how only the manager can retrieve purses for customers. This indicates Ross reps do not want customers in their store? They said very little to me as I made my purchase...! Will not patronize Ross anymore. Will shop entirely local businesses as they are thankful for customers.

I have only been in Ross a couple of times. So today, I was out shopping and thought I should give it a try. I found an item that I wanted to purchase and went to a line where a sign said wait here to be called. A cashier called for next customer and I started to go when another cashier shouted loudly at me in front of everyone that it was not my turn that I just cut that lady off. I said excuse me and she said you just cut that lady off. First, it appeared to me that I was in the correct line because I was by a sign that said wait. Second I never saw another line where this lady was waiting. I put my item down and walked out of the store without purchasing and I will never go back. I have never been talked to so rudely by someone I was about to purchase and item from. She could have said " mam excuse me but that lady was first and we will get right to you. Not shout across the store that I cut someone off - which I did not - I merely didn't see the other line. If I was in the wrong line they should only have one line. Ross teach your people customer service first! I cannot imagine that I was talked to like this and management would approve this! I would have gladly purchased my item if the cashier had of been half way courteous. I walked next door to TJ Maxx and made my purchase where the customer service was courteous! Fort Smith Ar store needs better managers! Courteous customer service should be the first thing you teach!
