US FREIGHT MASTER is a complete scam operation—AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I hired US Freight Master LLC (DOT 4096789 / MC 1561954) to transport my vehicle across the country. We agreed to a specific price in writing, and I paid a deposit in good faith.
Once the car was en route, they suddenly and illegally increased the price $550 with no valid reason, threatening to take my vehicle to a storage/impound lot if I didn’t pay in CASH only. They refused to accept credit cards, making it impossible to dispute or track the payment. This is a classic bait-and-switch extortion tactic, and it a breach of contract. I have filed a police report for extortion and theft by conversion.
They used intimidation and leverage to trap you into overpaying. Yes, we paid the higher price so our vehicle was not taken to impound yard as they threatened. The cashier's check was made out to Express Line LLC per their instructions. This is not a legitimate business practice, it’s a hostage situation with your personal property. When I tried to reason with them, they became rude, evasive, and unprofessional.
Do yourself a favor and RUN the other direction. Check the countless similar complaints online as this situation is not a one-off. This company is exploiting people, and they need to be investigated by FMCSA, BBB, FTC.
US Freight Master LLC is dishonest, unethical, and predatory. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLE. You will regret it
