I saw a bed advertised on tv it didn't have a full price on it so I phoned the lady that I spoke to asked what I was looking at I told her, then she started telling me of the deal she could give me I said that I was on a pension and that I couldent pay the price she gave me so she said I will talk to someone to see what she could do she said she could do it at a cheeper price I said no I can't do that gust a minute I will see what I can do again I said that I only want to find out the price she said she would find out what she could get it for when she came back she said that if they gave me one of the demonstration modles and if you get the bace that adjusts and massages together not sepretly then she could do it for this price I said how much per fortnight she told me I said this to my wife then she said wait untill tax time and we can pay for it totally the lady said I will find out what I can do then when she came back she said if we pay a serton amount then we can start paying for it in 3 months that was july the 15 then my wife said no we will wait untill tax time then I am not sure if it was me or her said what about just the mattress so she gave me a price on just the mattress lt would be $108 first up then we could start in july 15 with the payments of $108 a fortnight then we paid the $108 thinking every thing was going to be all right
The thursday the day before we where going to go away camping doing something we haven't done in a long time because I have been to sick what should happen the tv shop took out $108 and it was early
I was only looking for a price and they sold me something that we couldent afford at this time and they processed me so much I have phoned them 2 times and they said they would look into it and phone me back the gentleman that I spoke to had a sarcastic tone in his voice and what you know they took another payment of $108 now we had to borrow money to feed us and the thing is no one had the decency to phone us I wanted them to take the mattress back if it couldn't be worked out I have left a review still nothing every thing I have done to find out why they said one thing and did the opersitt no way will I shop with them again and this I have wrote will be posted every where I can

I am now going through this with my parentsmy dad has not been well the last 3 months not sleeping tired all the time so he was sitting up early hours one morning about a week ago and the ad came on for the tebo bed he thought thats his answer to his problems so he rang about it had to give them $1499.99 dep after answering a few questions but at the time I honestly don't believe he was actually registering what was being said to him. I had no idea how much it was until they delivered and set it up my parents find it to firm dad cant really see the controls and still isn't sleeping so a complete waste of time for $13000 which is 39 payments p.f. of $307 which is way too much coming out of pension anyway after speaking to them i thought great they will pick it up and get deposit back less $100 no my parents will lose $1399 and we have to dismantle and pay for courier to take it back

I have gone through all correspondence and nowhere does it have the contract details sent to them even insurance companies send details when you purchase

Not sure what to do at this point but not giving up

they have just done exactly the same to my pensioner parents except they have charged $1200 delivery on there card for it immediately, my mum didnt know. They told us we couldn't cancel the order then said we have to pay the delivery fee even though we knew it had not left the state. This was 24hrs after my mum called them. They were condescending. I have instigated a case through Fair Trading in Victoria. They are leaches. I think it's safe to say they have targetted an older generation with these beds and don't care about the price, by the way the cost of the bed ön sale"$10200!

My experience is similar; in October last year, phoned them for price of the "Extender Ladder", given a price that seemed fair, I placed an order. After checking ACTUAL cost, phoned them back 2 hours later and cancelled. They STILL delivered the ladder and unsuccessfully attempted to withdraw money from my bank account each month accompanied by daily phone-calls demanding payments I found them rude, often ignorant, and somtimes abusive. I'll NEVER deal with TV Shop/Brand Developers again.
