Operating engineer renewal
2023 - Fees increase every year on May 1st, but they decided to send invoices with the new amount for renewals before the increase date.
No one in customer service can/will help. Keep getting told different stories by different people. Could take 3-4 days, could take 7-10. Now they say up to 17 days to escalate.
Last year (2022), they double booked me for an exam, despite their assurances that is impossible. Took two months to resolve, and only got a credit on my account. Took another 3 weeks to actually apply the credit to my license renewal. Afterward, I received an invoice saying my account was delinquent, as the old invoice for the 2nd exam was never deleted. Took another month to resolve.
Completely unprofessional staff, once they are flustered and proven wrong, you are put on hold, then the call "disconnects."
Desired outcome: 1. My invoice price adjusted.2. Apology for wasting my time.3. Assurances this will not happen again. (yeah, right!)
Ignoring my requests for help after being a member for over 10 years
I am utterly disgusted by this company! They are meant to be there to help in the event of problem at my place of work. I have paid in thousands to them over the years in membership fees and yet when I have a contract change at my place of work and I ask for advice I have been totally ignored.
I have phoned the help desk 5 times and got an answer machine and I have emailed copies of my changed contract proposals over 3 times in the last 10 days and have not even received an acknowledgement.
I cancelled my membership yesterday because I refuse to pay them a penny more but it does not resolve the fact that that no one has even bothered to acknowledge I need advice and help. I am at a loss as to what to do and what to make sure no one else joins this organisation in the misguided belief they will be there to help you if you need them.
TSSA - Bogus service over billing
These crooks have been over billing for bogus inspections for years. There is no accountability whatsoever with TSSA. It is quasi-government and they hide behind telephones & policy. Deaths have resulted from failed TSSA work resulting in explosions in Toronto. This failure of a control agency ought to be closed and replaced with a functioning, accountable agency. If you feel the same way please get vocal.
