We contracted with TruGreen in May 2023. We wanted a professional service because we had dead grass that started out as yellow patches in our new lawn as well as the old lawn and felt the expense was worth saving our expensive lawn grass. We paid a total of $2221.81 for their Healthy Lawn Plan. From the beginning we clearly stated we were concerned with the yellow patches and wanted the service to identify the cause and treat it. There was a pattern to the destruction of our lawn. Initially a small yellow patch that spread out circularly, larger and larger. Then the grass inside the area died and we are left with bare dirt. On the second visit the expert identified several issues and applied insect and disease control to the lawn. He said the yellow patches were where the grass was responding to weed control. However, looking back on the previous service summary, there is no indication that weed control had been applied. During each subsequent visit, we showed the tech the yellow patches and asked that it be treated. Finally on the fifth visit, the tech said the problem was fungus and he would apply a fungicide. Again, looking back on the summary page, he reported that he applied fungicide to the trees and shrubs. I have scoured each service summary and at no time did Tru Green treat for fungus in the lawn. In other words, for over $2000. our lawn was not properly treated. We have large areas of dead grass, and the weeds are more plentiful than than ever. I feel that Tru Green has failed to provide appropriate treatment to our lawn, therefore I would like a full refund.
