On 10/14/2022, I engaged the services of Trans Atlantic Container Lines to ship a car and personal effects to Ghana. The CEO of the company personally told me the price for the shipment in the presence of a witness would be between Two Thousand Five Hundred to Three Thousand Dollars. He advised me against renting a 20-footer container, instead he suggested getting a 40-footer container which will be shared between myself and another customer of his to save cost. On 10/18/2022, I made a cash payment of One Thousand Dollars ($1000). I brought his attention when he gave me a receipt that balance owing was not on the document, and he assured me not to worry. On the Verify Copy of the shipment, it clearly states the Container has 3 Packages to: 1. Kwabena Appiah - 2015 FOCUS SE VIN#1FADP3F23FL321048. 2. Adolphus Okaikoi (consignee - my son) - 2011 Honda crv exl vin #jhlre4h74bcd17731. One lot of personal effects. On 12/21/2022 when the container was opened, it contained more than the items stated, moreover due to the overloading of the items in the container, there are visible damages to the hood of my car and scratches on the side of my car. My personal effects are in the name of another individual. Trans Atlantic Container Lines is overcharging me for a shipment to Ghana that was priced between Two Thousand Five Hundred to Three Thousand Dollars ($2500-$3000) and is refusing to accept the balance of Two Thousand Dollars to release the necessary document to the Clearing agent in Ghana for my car and personal effects to be taken out of the Port. He is threatening to auction off my stuff. I am being charged daily storage fees of Sixty Ghana Cedis (60 GHS) and all I get from him are insults to my son in Ghana and threats to myself and the witness who was present at the time of pricing. The CEO was aware the shipment contained items I was going to use for burial and memorial service for my 2 son who passed on12/06/2021 and 07/28/2022 respectively. I am currently in Ghana and have not been able to bury my sons due to the hostage holding of my personal effects.

Desired outcome: I would like the CEO of Trans Atlantic Container Lines to accept the agreed price of the shipment made on 10/14/2022. He should be responsible for the storage fees at the Tema Port in Ghana. I require an apology.
