I had a/c unit replaced. Both the condenser and the air handler. This was done in June of 2022. After the unit was installed I had questions because the unit ran all the time at 74 or75 degrees. I dropped by and talked to the people at Three Rivers . They assured me that the unit I thought was not large enough was the correct size for my house . They said it has been very hot and I agreed to that. They said they would talk to the installer and get him to come by and check it . Well that never happened . After that the rains came and I had new windows installed. So I didn’t do anything more.

Along about October we had been seeing a lot dampness in front of the return was staying damp all the time. When I remove the filter and looked inside the return to my surprise, there was mold everywhere.. The drain line was pulled apart and leaking on the floor that then was leaking behind the tube. I cleaned as much of the mold as I could that night. I went by three Rivers the next morning, and explain what had happened.He sent a technician by to look at the problem. Upon seeing that there was a gap on both sides of the air handler . He then tape both sides to cover the holes check to make sure that the pipe was glued and put more glue around it. He then told me that the repair were done .

After his technician left, I realized that this was not a good fix, and got in touch with three Rivers again about the repairs. The owner said that he would come by and take a look at it with another technician when the technician arrived it was it was he only and not the owner. He also did a makeshift repair and said it was fine. Well, it was not fine and I didn’t like the repairs and let the owner know that I was not satisfied.

I also had asked both technicians about all the mold that was still in there, and who was going to repair it? They both explain to me that they did not do mold remediation, and that I would have to get someone out to fix it.

I would say that was about the end of the line because three Rivers never did any additional repairs after that. Even though they knew they repairs are not done, right.

I I contacted Trane about my situation with my air conditioning unit. I sent them as much information as I had compiled and pictures. They contacted three Rivers and let them know about my dissatisfaction with their installation. They also told me that they couldn’t do anything other than that because three Rivers was an independent contractor.They told me to get a estimate on the problems that I thought I had from another contractor. I did have another Trane contractor come out and check the unit and give me a list of things to meet to make the repairs, right.

He had checked the unit and gave me a list of things that needed to be done. This, including replacing the wood underneath the air handler and also installing a electrical box, because the unit was not wired right.

Now that Christmas and New Year’s are over I figure it’s time to get things done. If three Rivers will not hold up to that part of the bargain, then I will have to find somebody that will. And that’s where I’m at at this point.
