I am a Realtor. I contacted a company that dispatched this company Thomas Restoration llc out to me the first week of September 2023 due to water damage. The owner Zachary Thomas called me and was really nice and let me know about how specialized they were and they could help me and that he takes care of it all from start to finish including the repairs. I set up an appointment with them and got the name of their business because like I said I called a company that just routes you to a contractor that is available. After I got off the phone I started looking at the reviews and they were BAD. I got really concerned and asked them about the reviews and they said the customers were lieing or angry because their insurance did not cover the bill. I asked then why are people saying things about the contract and you throw it in their face and sue them if their insurance doesn't cover it all because they say your prices are too high or you refuse to send them the estimate and bill? He said that They got the notice and they are just hostile clients******* my story***** I know I know.. I should have seen the red flags. I believed them because I know how it is dealing with angry clients. But Thomas Restoration llc are a bunch of thugs, liars and scam artist. 1. First visit a guy came out by the name of Rich very nice guy. He wanted me to immediately sign a contract and and I did not, due to some of the reviews from others saying don't sign. So I told the guy I did not feel comfortable signing until i get an estimate and a approval from my insurance company. So Rich did a moisture reading on the wall where rain was getting through, that I pointed out and did not find any moisture. A few days later the owner said he spoke with my insurance company and got an approval to start work. The owner sent his brother Hunter and I pointed out the one wall where the damage was that I gave permission to cut and went upstairs to work. I came down stairs a few hours later and was shocked to find an additional wall that i did not authorize cut into on the opposite side of the damaged wall, a big hole in my ceiling that i did not auth or approve of, and my tile damaged. They were no where to be found. I went out side and their truck they had parked in my driveway was gone too. They decided to leave really quickly without telling me or my daughter that was home. They later said the other wall they also cut into had moisture. It did not. They cut into it to make the job a more lucrative pay. I asked for the readings they took since they claim they took pictures. The only picture they took is after they cut into my wall, they took a picture with the moisture reader, showing moisture levels. . They sprayed the inside beams on My wood with water to make moisture show on the reading. I have cameras all through my house. They also roamed to the other side of my house to use the bathroom and took a dump in my toilet and left their booboo marks all in the toilet. You dont roam peoples home without asking. They are very entitled people. They will not send me what the costs are, pics before they cut into the wall that I did not auth and are ignoring all my calls and text messages. Once you sign the contract they get really aggressive and rude and stop responding. I got really upset and felt violated and tooken advantage of once they started lieing and avoiding my calls. I had to start texting long messages to let them know what they did and I wanted answers. They still will not respond. I had inspectors come out and they all said this company had no reason to cut into my other wall. There was no damage there and they were out for money. I can't get anywhere with this company they lie and tell you to sign to give them auth to start the work from their small phone and will not send you the contract until you ask for it. They screenshot my contract in a text message after I asked for it 3 times. The owner kept accusing me of lieing when I told them I never got one. You're supposed to give a copy of a contract after you sign.
