You need to do your research before giving to this organization The lord's Child in Sevierville, TN. They do not have any financial accountability and all the money is controlled by one man, Gene Wolfenbarger. as of this writing this is the way it is. Seek out the information and do not just accept a print out of how they money is spent in areas because that is how they fool you, they put marketing expenses under outreach and personal clothing under outreach. The people in the church told us this stuff and said to warn and pray so that others may bring the truth to light.

I have seen what these people give out of their food pantry and I just can't believe these people would try to rip anyone off

I have recieved many calls from The Lord Child asking for money to help those in need. They ask for very large amounts and when I ask to be sent information and told them I'd mail them a donation I was told it would be easier if I just did a donation over the phone by useing my credit card or by giving my bank acount number. I thought this was weird. When I said I wouldn't give out that info they said they'd send someone to my home to pick up a money donation. Please be careful not to give out your info. I ask them not to call back and told them DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO MY HOME. I still to this day get repeated calls sometimes up to 6 calls a day. I finally blocked the number.

It's not the thousands of cildren anyone is trying to pull money from. It's the dishonest hands dipping in to the money ment to provide for the thousands of children. If they could keep their hands out of it maybe your organization could provide for millions rather than thousands. There is a reason for accountability. KEEPS THEM HONEST (protecting the children and families in need)

Wow! because of your own bitterness you would try to pull money away from the thousands of children The LORD'S Child helps every year? If someone is stealing all the money then how do you explain all the money the spend on these children every year. Pull the plank out of you own eye sir.

Wrong - they do not check out their donors - do your own research - ask for the information and see what happens. Just like Gene Wolfenbarger, give him enough money and you will be on his inner circle. How many charities research their donors? Ask yourself, How many times did Jesus drop names to elevate himself? How many finer things did Jesus walk around with? How many servants and body guards did Jesus have? God is my protector no body guard.

Good for Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse! It's their decision to partner with a ministry not accredited by the evangelical counsel for financial accountability which states, in it's requirements for membership, that a full financial disclosure be provided annually. Which The Lords Child and The Gathering fails to do. Of course TLC jumped on the chance to give to a family like yours that is highly publicized - what an opportunity to raise more money. Don't give blindly - do your researc - ask for financial disclosure!

The Bible tells us to look at the fruit of a ministry. I see a good harvest! Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse are partnering up with them, and I know they don't associate with ministries unless they check them out very well and find them to be valid and legitimate.

Do your research! Ask for financial accountability and documentation of such. Any ministry that has nothing to hide would be able to show you the books without fear. There are many reasons to be suspicious of this ministry. We are to be good stewards of God's money, not give blindly and hope for the best! having volunteered and seen some of the goings on, I would not give a dime.

The Lord's Child is an incredible organization! My family of seven had a house fire this past year. We lost pretty much everything, and had no insurance to cover our losses. They not only offered financial help, they brought trucks and men and worked hours and hours helping us try to salvage what little we could. They provided a wonderful motel that would take our dogs, but also found a kennel that would donate their services should we need them. Moreover, they found several restaurants that would donate meals to our family, which was huge! We couldn't have made it without their help. They secured donations of furniture and clothing and shoes...I can't believe anyone would complain about this organization...they were there for us in every way imaginable! You can be assured that anything you give to them will go to help families just like mine! God bless them and the staff there! By the way, even before the fire we have been a part of the Lord's Child and their outreach program. My children have received clothing and shoes and even Christmas gifts in years when we, as a family, could not afford to provide. I am grateful to them for all they have done for my family! God bless the Lord's Child as they seek to meet the needs of those in our area who need them!
