The Law Firm of Mitch Luxenburg review: Traffic attorney representation

Tried to hire Mitch Luxenburg through a third party because I was out of state and dealing with severe third degree burns from being burned alive in a fire.

I tried contacting him through his 877 phone number and he was completely unresponsive.

He provides a local Cleveland number on his 877 voicemail. So I tried texting him the information about my case and he was non-responsive for a while, and then he finally responded that he didn't need to contact me. He didn't need to talk to me. That it was a simple traffic ticket and that he did not need any information. But if he felt like he needed more information, he would contact the third party to obtain it.

I subsequently responded that I actually had provided the third party with all of the information and apparently they had not forwarded it to him and so that's why I was contacting him. There were circumstances that were relevant and I felt that I needed to talk with him before actually hiring him in order to understand if he was going to show up for me and represent me in a fair manner.

He very clearly told me in a very abrasive and nasty tone that there was no way that he was willing to try and get the ticket dismissed.

The information was relevant in regard to reducing points, fines, and traffic school eligibility. There was also information on how the officer that pulled me over could have possibly clocked me at the speed that they did, considering they weren't stationary and they were driving the opposite direction when they saw me driving. There's no way they could have measured my speed and I know I was not going to speed that the ticket stated.

He angrily and cruelly told me over the phone in less than a minute conversation, without really allowing me to speak, talking over me, and not letting me get in a word edgewise, that I had two options, one is to set trial, have me give testimony that the officer was lying, the second, was to try to reduce the fine.

There was no compromise according to him. Even though the officer was very kind, very nice, and was willing to work with me on my own. Much nicer than this really disrespectful and rude attorney that wouldn't even spend a minute to listen to a client like me.

I'm a two war veteran. I serve my community with integrity, with diligence, and with kindness.
I would never treat a client like this.

This man was absolutely disrespectful to me in every possible way. He seemed to be unwilling to even talk with me for even a minute to discuss my case.

He seemed to have profound prejudice against someone that was out of state, that was disabled, that was dealing with severe injury and financial hardship, and that was a two-war military veteran.

I had already paid. I had already retained the services and he was unwilling to talk with me.

He claimed that he called the third party to tell them that he was unwilling to represent me and that this case was impossible.

I find this incredibly bizarre, considering that the police officer was very kind and understanding and willing to work with me personally. Also the fact that this was my first speeding ticket in Ohio and that the court accepts and allows traffic school. I haven't gotten a ticket in years.

I believe in faithfully serving my community. I believe in driving safely and I'm committed to continuing to do both, regardless of the results.

But he did not seem to want to have any sort of discussion with me from the beginning, I have this writing and a recorded conversation.

This attorney is absolutely nasty and will treat you like a number. He's not interested in attempting to negotiate zero points, he's not interested in negotiating a dismissal. He's not interested in putting in the work.

And he admitted that only 10% of his business is in Sandusky county. He's not even remotely close. 90% of his work is outside of Sandusky county. He works out of Beachwood, which is a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.

I highly recommend you hire someone else.
