I was terminated from the knee institute after only one month of employment. The reason I was given was 'we don't have as much work for you as we thought we would.' the real reason was that I chose not to go on an outing with my employer bob (Owner of the knee institute) and his wife joyce (Office manager).
Whatever activities outside the knee institute I choose to take part or not take part in is my personal business, not bob, joyce or anyone else's for that matter. Bob cannot be happy unless he's in full control of other people's thoughts, actions and emotions.
I was even told by bob 'I don't get mad, I get even' the same day I was let go. Well bob, you may wanna keep the fans off cause my heavenly father is about to show you the real definition of 'even.'
Becoming irate with someone and firing them because they chose to stay home on a saturday afternoon and exercise their own civil freedoms is ridiculous. I find that sense of reasoning quite preposterous and beyond questionable.
Bob is so arrogant that it's literally impossible to have a conversation with him about the weather without his facetious know it all 'i'm always right, you're always wrong' attitude coming to the surface. I found him highly unprofessional and virtually impossible to bear near the end.
Bob used to refer to one knee patient as 'mr. Mullet' and took to berating this man on nearly any occasion behind his back simply because bob did not like that he had an african-american wife and spoke various languages.
'mr. Mullet' is one of the kindest people i've ever met and actually does possess awesome people skills unlike bob. 'mr. Mullett' bothered to learn and remember my name after knowing me for only two weeks. Bob still referred to me as 'olivia's sister' after one full month of employment.
And did I mention he's not a doctor at all running a medical practice? 'mr. Mullet' would've been better off running the knee institute.
Joyce has a ridiculous to learn 'filing system' which she came up with on her own and alters every other day that she expects new employees to latch on to. She stood over my shoulder often and became flustered when I wasn't catching on as fast as she expected. She even went so far as to blame me for one of the nurse practitioner's threatening to quit because i'd misfiled some of the paperwork after being there only 4 days.
Joyce also blamed my sister for a new employee quitting after one day when my sister never even had a conversation with this woman. My sister is an m. A. And was far too busy to eat lunch sometimes, let alone converse with and get to know new employees. That employee quit because of joyce, bob and the severely disorganized, unprofessional, dishonest way the knee institute is run.
All these people care about is money, not any of their patients. They were recently required to pay money back to medicare patients. That's right! They were charging medicare recipients out of their own pockets when they were not supposed to.
They even fired the administrative assistant after blaming her for causing them to lose $117, 000 by not following up with patients to make appointments. This is not true! That girl was very diligent and took her job seriously. People weren't making appointments because bob decided to curse the lady who ran their facebook ads out and she removed their ads and refused to post more.
There was one patient who was a real doctor who called them out on their lack of skill with treating knee pain. Once he began to out them as 'quacks' and warn the other patients verbally that they did not know what they were doing he was barred from ever coming back.
They lie in their ads and bob is even featured in one saying he used to walked up the stairs sideways before being treated at knee institute. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at his bad acting and at his lies. This man has never been treated at knee institute. He owns the place. The only thing he does sideways is speak the 'truth' about any kind of 'skills' he has.
My sister was told to do billing codes which she has no training or licensing to do. She told joyce she would rather not bill because she did not want to code anything wrong or do anything illegal.
Not only did joyce insist my sister do billing when knee institute already had a billing team on board (Which they no longer have now. Wonder why?) but she insisted that my sister pre-date everything before the patients were ever seen which is illegal. Joyce knows this. But you know, money. My sister does have common sense and told joyce this was not legal and refused to pre-date anything and also refused to bill.
They even have a doctor working there who lost his license in ohio because he was accused of sexual misconduct (Trading sex for meds). Bob and joyce are aware of this and took to hiding his files in case they get investigated which they absolutely will.
Did I mention this doctor recently touched his own m. A.'s behind as she was bending over? She no longer works at knee institute of her own volition.
There you have it folks. These are the kind of people running the knee institute. Unethical, unprofessional, money hungry, biased liars who pick and choose which employees they like and which patients they're going to treat with respect and professionalism.
I wouldn't entrust my block of cheese to these people, let alone any knee patient. My best friend even told me my first week working there, 'don't trust those people. They're not you're family.' wise man. If you want to be treated fairly by professionals, go elsewhere.
Now they are withholding my W-2 so that I cannot file a tax return. I do not have my own car. I used to get rides with my sister when I worked for them. She is at work during their same hours and cannot pick the return up for me. I explained this to my former employer. They refused to e-mail it to me when I requested. I had to contact the IRS and let them know what was going on. The's not professional. I am praying for these people.
I'm very blessed to have worked at 4 different Mortgage companies in my past as well as being trained at Jackson-Hewitt. So I know how to calculate my annual income. Thankfully I earned way under $9, 350 for the year working at Knee Institute, am single and under 65 years old and my income was less than $18, 700 so I am exempt from having to file taxes. This was also confirmed to me by a CPA. Grateful to God for my Mortgage and tax background! Having a super blessed day! Sitting on top of the world and loving it! It is unfortunate and disappointing to read the comments made by " Olivia's Sister " who is a disgruntled past employee, especially when they are untruthful and very slanderous.
The outside activities that are referred to was a act of kindness. Because Oliva and her sister were originally from another state, they were invited to the mentioned outing. Oliva's sister chose not to come at the last minute. We picked up Oliva and visited the the Detroit Eastern Market, then went to the Aquarium, the Botanical Gardens, had a picnic lunch on Bell Isle, and then on to Campus Martius. We then attendeded an Aretha Franklin concert and had dinner at the Hockey Town Cafe. We also rode the Q-Line.After all that, Olivia was returned to her and her sisters apartment.
The knee Institute has a very multi culture and diverse staff as well as patient base. We take great pride in this philosophy. Visit The Knee Institute in West Bloomfield Michigan's web site and one can view the staff.

Bob has never been featured or in any ad. However he was a patient having gone thru the process for both of his knees with much success. Prior to going thru the process he had difficulty getting out of a chair and going down stairs.
The physician that was referred to has never lost his license. In fact it is openly on display in the clinic with all the staffs licenses.
The Knee Institutes billing is outsourced to an outside billing company. They would never allow any fraudulent billing or illegal billing practices as they would be held accountable from the insurance companies, the federal government, and the legal community.
It is very upsetting that individuals would say these kind of unfair and untruthful statements. The Knee Institute has positively impacted many patients lives. If one were to visit the the Knee institutes web site, they would see many positive comments that were made about the clinic from patients.
No I'm not a 'disgruntled ex employee. Please get a clue. What's unfortunate and disappointing is that 'JoyceSW' is such a liar, a hypocrite and a coward that she has to cover her butt by constantly lying against the truth if her dishonest actions. I suggest that Mrs. 'SW' read the Yelp review where a patient accused her husband of flirting with her to the point that she was too uncomfortable to come back to The Knee Institute. This same young woman also alleged(truthfully no doubt) that Mrs. 'JoyceSW' has a horrible attitude, is unprofessional and was overheard yelling at some of the staff about causing she and her husband to lose money. The same young woman also stated 'All they care about is money.'
The only lies being told in this review are the ones that came forth from Joyce's mouth. I do not hate her or her husband. I hate their dishonesty, lack of morals, lack of professionalism and inability to admit fault and mend their evil ways. When The Knee Institute shuts its doors by the hand of God then we will see who the liar is and who the truth teller is.
Mrs. 'SW' needs to remove the huge log from her own eye instead of beholding the speck in her brothers. There's no such thing as sowing without reaping. I pray my God in Heaven she and husband will mend their ways, take full accountability for the wrongs they have done/are doing and repent before it all catches up with them.
And btw, try getting the last word in when you're right, not when you know you're lying through your teeth. My Heavenly Father will have the final say as well as the last laugh. Nocw try trying to throw me under the bus for telling the trith though. Funny how the people some deem as weakest end up being the most influential.

HealthGrades lists Korby's sanction and the entire complaint agsinst him through the Ohio Medical Board. You're double talking again! You know darn well his license was surrendered/ revoked in OHIO not MICHIGAN! But it hopefully will be soon! Girl, bye! Backpeddaling wont stop Medicare from coming down on your practice.

What about when you did fire me on your false premise and you saw the tears in my eyes and you acted as if you just told me the Pistons won and it was no big deal. Was that an 'act of kindness' as you see it? Please quit pretending to be a wonderful person when deep inside you are a shallow, hollow human being who is deeply lacking in humanity, empathy and the integrity that you are so desperately in need of.
