Pol Cousineau and Jim Traister, chief officers of The Digital Navigator, took $31,000 of my money to build a web site that was not just shoddy and unprofessional, but which proved wholly unusable. Paying customers were locked out for as long as six weeks, devastating my business. In December, I had to hire two pricey consultants to clean up The Digital Navigator's horrific mess. Five months later there are still problems, and my out-of-pocket costs are likely to exceed $160,000. The final tab will include compensating subscribers for the inconvenience and anguish they endured, some for months, and offering incentives to win back the business of the many who deserted Rick's Picks after it went dark.

All of this happened because The Digital Navigator launched a web site without having tested it. If they had, they would have discovered that the deliverable was not merely riddled with glitches, but so deeply flawed in its architecture as to be worthless. This showed reckless negligence and disregard, as did their failure to return my phone calls for several nerve-wracking weeks when I desperately sought to determine the extent of the damage and their steps to set things right. For Cousineau and Traister to claim through their lawyer, Chad Nitta, that they owe me nothing for the disaster their negligence caused not only flouts their contractual promises to me, it also offends the decency of any customer who expects fair and honest treatment from companies they do business with.

I have lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but the company has evaded responsibility with legalistic double-speak that mocks the goal of a fair settlement. Here's the link so that you can see for yourself that they are playing games: https://bit.ly/3vQ1HX4

Desired outcome: My out-of-pocket damages so far total $160,000. I would like this sum returned to me so that I can rebuild the business they nearly destroyed..
