So, I've been dealing with TemplateTrip for a few days now and it's been a bit of a hassle. They asked for access to my Shopify store, which I gave them, but the issue still hasn't been resolved. I haven't heard back from Punit Korat, who was supposed to help me out. I mean, come on, it's been four days! The ticket number is #*** and I'm just hoping they can get it sorted soon. It's frustrating when you're trying to run a business and you can't even get a response from customer service.

If you're not a Shopify expert, beware of TemplateTrip themes. Unless you're familiar with every coding convention (Liquid, CSS, Html) or configuration setting used by the author, you won't be able to customize and deploy your site. Technical issues are inevitable, and the videos and documentation provided with your purchase won't help you resolve them.

TemplateTrip offers some beautiful themes, and they'll make sure your copy is fully installed. However, adapting a TemplateTrip theme to your project's needs is a complete nightmare. The documentation and videos provided by TemplateTrip are so poor that they're bad jokes. Many configuration settings are undocumented, and support via FreshDesk is excruciating.

Expect to follow up many times before issues are even addressed, and expect cryptic replies that reference undocumented settings and code adjustments. If you're not a full-stack developer, you'll be lost. Deploying a TemplateTrip theme by an experienced, computer-literate, but non-coding business professional is impossible.

It's a pity because TemplateTrip's offerings are attractive, and they seem to have lots of promise. Unfortunately, preparing their products and documentation for use by average end-users is not high on their agenda. After three months of effort, I've concluded that the TemplateTrip management team prefers that their Shopify theme customers fail to deploy their projects successfully.

Rather than creating themes and support processes that ensure customer success, they've chosen to follow a path of careless, minimal guidance in the hope that their customers will give up in disgust. How irresponsible! In their mad rush to book non-refundable sales, they go right up to the legal edge.

Perhaps the themes are merely teasers, and average end-users aren't intended to configure themes correctly. Perhaps the assumption is that a Shopify and a TemplateTrip consulting expert will always be required and retained for additional fees.

I've promised myself not to give up on making their theme fully functional. My expectation that a TemplateTrip Shopify theme could be easily adjusted and modified turns out to be the height of naivete. Shame on me!

If you wish to proceed with a TemplateTrip product, you must personally have all the requisite technical skills, or you must hire someone else who does. Prospective end-users, you've been warned!
