This is a scam we have just become aware of. This guy has a website which advertises taxis anywhere across the UK. What he does is takes a deposit from a credit card then just gives the customer the number of a local taxi firm to call.

I actually own a small taxi company and we were getting people phoning us up saying they had paid a deposit and where was their taxi, when in fact this is the first we had heard of them.

We found out it was some asian bloke with the domain registered to an address in Salford Quays but he actually could be from or in Bangladesh.

He is a SCAMMER do not pay this guy any money. He also sometimes uses the email [protected]@taxipartner.co.uk

I dont know how long his website will be up for as we have reported him to nominet for providing false registration details. Im sure however that if he does get closed down he will pop up somewhere else. Anyway, the moral of this story is never pay a deposit over the phone when booking a taxi in the UK, especially to someone who sounds like they are from India or Bangladesh

"Jacob Hines" is a thief, a crook, a scammer, a fraudster. I have obtained as much information as I possibly can now and the Fraud Office are dealing with this after I reported him to the police. From what I can gather, the list is long and is not beyond international police intervention; he's a marked man and his time is running out. He connec me out of nearly £1000 for the hire of a coach, it was only when I had paid the money through an emailed invoice that I was able to track down the full story behind him. He's chosen the wrong crowd this time, a crowd with one of the most notorious reputations in English football and with thousands - and I mean thousands - now looking for him, he needs to pay up as he will not like the consequences.

Interesting. had issue with this company end of last year. well different name of company but same people, address, and numbers. all using fake names (spelling of someone's last name changed!). the person I needed to talk to was never there, so phoned again, gave a different name and pretended to do a new booking, hey presto she was there. lond story short, taxis did showed up instead of a minibus, spread over 20 minutes and one went to the wrong place. totally disruptive and not what we paid for (we could have booked taxis on time for a fraction of the cost and stress free).

They go under so many different names.

Jacob hines, lucie bird, lucie beard...?

But 'head office' clippers quay, salford quays, m50 3xp

This was also the address for pound cabs ltd (company number [protected]) dissolved january 2017 (01 nov 2016 notice to dissolve)
Nasir, farakh I was told was no longer the owner of the company I issues with but now it is john hines (whatever!)
Name was changed from pound cabs ltd to pound cars ltd to pound cabs ltd (!)
On pound cabs website: "you can obtain full details about the cost of taxi journeys with pound cabs by visiting our website; www.cabtransfers.co.uk"

Cab transfers – website t&c complaint address:
Customer services department cab transfers, apt 3, 7 badger rd altrincham, wa14 5uz. united kingdom
This is not an office per se but flat in housing owner adil tariq amin (director of various companies)

Cab transfers info on hotgro.co. uk:
Vanguard house merchants quay salford quays, salford, lancashire m50 3st

Taxicontracts.co. uk:
Cab transfers - unit b3, crossford court sale m33 7bz
(taxiquoter limited – dissolved)

My invoice and bank account (santander) were under "minibus and taxi transfers". no vat or company registration number.

Etc etc!

What a surprise... the comment above is posted from my old boss - jacob is is 'stage name ' as is ' adam ' and ' susan ' which are used as cover up names for yass and nad who run it... so what a shock th comment above is the only positive one - do not repeat do not hand over any money... this is a scam - there is no work... telesales staff are encouraged to lie and manipulate the truth in which ever way they can to get rent in advance from the drivers - I am ashamed to say I had my suspicions but because you get commission im embarrassed to say I got sucked in but now I am dedicating my time to help trading standards # them down so if you are a driver keep your money or burn it 'you've still got the same chance of getting a return on it... these people are disgusting all driving round in flash car while the drivers can't put food on kids plates - I am ashamed that I was part of it so please do whatever you can to help me

I have been using Taxi Partner for over 6 months and after seeing some of the reviews here do not understand why you have not got the best rssults from the campaign. There are many things that need to be done to your account to get the best results as making the following changes will improve the number of bookings you should get. My first konth was ok but it improved with each month by following the simple principles listed below:

1. Make sure your rates per mile are setup to the long distance rates rather than short distance rates. For example tou cannot charge £2 a mile for a 100 mile journey.

2. Make sure you answer every call put through to you as I missed plenty of calls in the first week which lost me alot of money.

3. Always request your weekly reports as they helped me understand and calculate how much money and jobs were being sent from Taxi Partner. The call log tracker they have is great and I use that all the time to get an accurate number of call jobs.

I hope this helps people get the best from Taxi Partner and I hope your results improve every month.

I booked Manchester Taxi Partner 3 weeks ago for a transfer today from the airport to the city centre. All seemed fine and professional until I got an email an hour before I was due to land that there had been an incident with the driver and a suggestion to go to another taxi firm which was 60 per cent dearer. I was annoyed and emailed back that I was not happy with this, you would have thought as a firm who offers a taxi service from an international airport that they would employ more than one driver. Here's the response I got back;"An incident is an incident obviously your not understanding this situation the incident was not booked three weeks ago it's how the world works". So if you do book with this firm and they let you down just remember ...that's how the world works!

Dear Emma,

You said I will contact the hotel you stayed at to see if the bus is in a CCTV. So you took first leg of the journey and it was fine, you paid in full to the driver which was a mistake, and who actually decided not to do the return journey. Taxipartner asked you to provide any information regarding this driver( and the matter is still under investigation). Also, you got refund of £120 from taxipartner. If you would like to complaint, then at least you need to tell the full truth. The truth that your assigned driver, who took the money, and not taxi partner. On top of that, taxipartner never never put the phone down on you, and contacted another company to provide alternative transportation. Your assigned driver is the one who put the phone down on you.

Taxipartner does hundreds of transfers each month, and sometimes problems happens, and we do our best to resolve them to the best satisfaction of the customer.

Kind Regards

Taxipartner

I've just read your review. Unfortunately, this I read this too late! He managed to scam a minibus carrying 13 people from Hull to Nottingham. He picked us up and we paid in full, needless to say he never showed up on our departure day! We had to get a private taxi which cost us an extra £200. I will make sure that I will complain about this an contact the hotel we stayed at, to see if the bus is in a cctv. Please Do Not Ever Use this Company, you will never get home an when you contact the Company to complain, they put the phone down on you! Total Scam
