I gotta tell ya, folks, I strongly advise against using this company called Stop&Stor. They're like the kings of ripoffs, I'm not even kidding! I'm here to update my review from about three years back, and let me tell you, things have gone from bad to worse. We're actually on the hunt for a new garden shed because the one we got from them is literally falling apart. I mean, seriously, as I'm typing this, my hubby is desperately trying to hold it together with some flimsy brackets. Can you believe that?

I bought 4 windows from this website, you know? They told me that 3 of them were on backorder and would be shipped next week. But guess what? Three weeks passed and I finally got an email saying that all the windows had been shipped. But hold up, the package weight was super low, man! And you won't believe it, only 1 window was in that package. Can you believe it? I can't!

I've been trying to get in touch with them, you know? I've called them so many times, left voicemails, and even sent emails to a couple of different places listed on their site. But guess what? They've been ignoring me, man! Ignoring everything! Can you believe that? I can't!

Now, I'm left with a big hole in my pocket, you know? I spent a good amount of money on those windows, thinking they had them in stock, not on backorder like those other sites. I thought I was getting a sweet deal, man! But no, I got totally ripped off! Can you believe it? I can't!

So, let me tell you, stay away from this website, man! Don't make the same mistake I did. They promise you one thing and deliver something completely different. It's a total scam, man! Save your money and go somewhere else. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

ONLINE BOOKING WAS EASY.
But that's where it stopped. When I booked for a unit at 30 Erasmus St. Brooklyn NY branch, I figured I would have the unit on hold until I go in person to sign the lease and pay. Not so. I received a call telling me that the reservation does not guarantee a unit. I booked on Friday 11/10 for Sat 11/18 move in. I was told to come in by Thursday 11/16 to see if anything is available. That's TWO days before move in. Unacceptable.
If there are no vacancies, the unit size should not be up for booking online. That system needs to be fixed. I ended up going to Empire Blvd branch and got a unit the same day, no waiting.
I really like Stop&Stor's facilities but the online booking systems needs to be better.

You see, I went ahead and booked myself a unit at the Stop&Stor branch on 30 Erasmus St. in Brooklyn, NY. Now, I thought that by making this reservation, I'd have the unit all nice and snug, just waiting for me to swing by, sign the lease, and pay up. But oh boy, was I wrong!

Imagine my surprise when I got a call telling me that my reservation didn't actually guarantee me a unit. Can you believe that? I mean, what's the point of making a reservation if it doesn't secure you a spot? I made the booking on Friday, November 10th, with the intention of moving in on Saturday, November 18th. But then, they hit me with the bombshell. They told me to come in on Thursday, November 16th, just two days before my move-in date, to check if there was anything available. Two days! That's cutting it way too close, if you ask me.

I gotta say, that's just not acceptable. If there are no vacancies, then why on earth would they let you book a unit online? It's like they're playing with your emotions, getting your hopes up and then dashing them to the ground. That booking system seriously needs some fixing, if you ask me.

Luckily, I managed to salvage the situation. I decided to head over to the Stop&Stor branch on Empire Blvd instead. And guess what? I got myself a unit on the very same day, no waiting around or anything. Now, that's what I call service!

Don't get me wrong, I really do like Stop&Stor's facilities. They've got some great storage spaces, and the locations are pretty convenient. But man, oh man, that online booking system needs a serious upgrade. It's just not up to par with the rest of their services.

So, if you're thinking of using Stop&Stor, I'd recommend going to the branch in person to secure your unit. Don't rely on that online booking system, 'cause it might just let you down. Trust me, I learned that the hard way.

I rented a space from Stop&Stor because they had the best rates in town. After three months of paying, I went in to make my next payment and my rent was almost double what I signed my contract for. They never notified me, I just found out when I went to make my payment. When I asked why, they just said there is a rent increase. Looking at reviews, it seems like they do that to everyone. In my opinion, they are nothing but scammers. They lure you in with a low rate and once you move in, they know it would be hard for most people to find another place and make arrangements for help or have to rent a truck to move back out. I think it's a pretty dirty thing to do. I can understand a rent increase of $5 or $10, that's one thing. But to almost double someone's rent, to me, is wrong. I think they scam you with the low rate to get you in, purposely knowing they're going to raise your rent three months later.
