Stihl Products review: fsa 57 weed eater

I am extremely disappointed with Stihl at this time. My husband owns several chain saws, a large weed eater, I personally have the leaf blower and a FSA 57. This weed eater is perfect for me and I have owned it about 5 yrs or so. For Mothers Day 3 years ago we purchased a FSA 57 for my 80 year old mother in law. She is in great physical shape and loves to do yard work. I understand the battery will someday have to be replaced but her weed eater has quit and it is not the battery. We did purchase the 2 year warranty, but that has expired. She is 80 years old and does not weed eat much and there is no reason this motor has burnt up. She did take it to MKay Supply in Benton, Missouri to have them check on it and she was told immediately that she needs to purchase a new one and they would be glad to upgrade her. She does not need to upgrade she just needs it to work. I am very upset that this weed eater has not lasted any longer than it has for her and a dealer of your product just pushed her away, unless she wants to purchase a new one. The did put a new battery in to test it and it still did nothing. I think this should be replaced free of charge. I would be happy to mail this weed eater back to you. I am very upset and not sure that we will be purchasing any more tools or yard equipment from Stihl. I understand I am only one person in this world but word can spread. This should have lasted my mother in law longer than the time that it did. She is 80 years old how much damage could this woman due to this weed eater.
