I have a rare condition not being addressed. I came to Stanford to see what they could do to help me. I realize this is an out-of-pocket expense, but did not feel heard or my issue addressed. I was told to stop coming to Western medicine since it was hurting me and to find alternative medicine. I have been fighting medical for more than six years to get this dire medical condition addressed and answered. The first appt was virtual and the second was in person. After telling me this, the NP said, Do you hate me now? Not a way to speak to a person. I had another person with me that could also attest to this. I am writing to dispute the nearly $500.00 I was charged. As a state-of-the-art facility, I was hoping to find a resolution finally. It was painful and upsetting to be brushed off in such a manner that I do not feel I should be charged. I called and was told that there was not much I could do. I am certified in medical billing and coding and realize facilities need to get money to keep the door open. As a patient though I was not pleased with this type of care. Please help me resolve this matter as soon as possible. I cannot work due to this medical condition and am tired of being charged for lack of care. Thank you. I look forward to hearing back from you as soon as possible so this doesn't go into collections
