My husband and I was offered a 4 day 3 night stay at the spinnaker resort at the Royal Floridian, in which we arrived 9/8/16. We attended a 90 minute presentation which turned in a 5 1/2 hours sales spill. We were apprehensive about each offer made by the salesperson named Jill. She continued to talk and explain why spinnaker was much better than what we had with another timeshare, even had her boss Robert come over and explain how we could stop paying on one timeshare to start on paying on this timeshare because the other we just bought air. Everything, sounded so good that we were getting more bang for our dollars with spinnaker. We continued to question and then the sale person Jill said ok I can tell your struggling let me make you this deal. She cut everything in half through in more benefits such as a gold membership to the intervals, a dream vacation, even worked a 3 month payment plan on the down payment as long as I paid 400.00 today. She even stepped away and got another sales person to come over and say "yeah, I worked to blue green for 16 years, She left because they did unfair practices and mislead people, buy more points...". Spinnaker is so much better, well that sealed the deal. We said were do we sign. We signed the contract and left to sales area. I went back to my room started investigating and found out spinnakers was just scam just like blue green and all the other timeshare places. I went the next morning with a written letter stating I wanted to cancel the contract, after all it was within 10 days... In fact it was within 20 hours of signing the contract. The boss Robert was rude, especially after I asked why the warrenty deed said the property was only worth 10.00, and refused to take the letter, he said it would be 3-5 days may be longer to get the 400.00 refunded. He did say mail the letter to the address in the contract. I asked why all the paperwork and money could be taken here but to cancel I had to go elsewhere. He had no answer other than following the cancellation rules about cancelling. What about morals and value? What about misrepresentation of intent, what about the pressure for the sale! Needless to say spinnaker and other timeshare companies are a scam! Please don't get trapped! Walk away! Do not buy spinnaker property!
