We had Sopris Solar install Solar on our house in 2019. At that time we were very disapointed as a lein was placed on our home due to a subcontractor issue. After speaking with Sopris, they made us whole on that lein. They have also been very helpful in analyzing our solar input. Scot B has been in communication with us frequently to ensure our system is running well.

I wish I could turn back time and never use Sopris Solar. I just got my building permit for this project and the panels have been installed and running for about a year. I've tried contacting this company multiple times using the main number, but it's disconnected. All the other numbers they gave me are also not working. They promised that I wouldn't have an energy bill, but if I did, I should contact them for panel re-evaluation and installation. In May, a guy named Cade *** emailed my wife about adding a battery on behalf of Sopris, but his email signature and address were for Emporia Energy. This confused me because when I was getting the estimate and talking to a sales rep from Sopris, they claimed they installed my neighbor's panels, which turned out to be a lie. It was too late to back out as the panels were already installed. We had trouble turning the panels on with Xcel, but we eventually sorted it out. It blew my mind that the company I paid didn't know what was needed for the switch on. It took two weeks to figure out that all we needed was a sticker and a metal tag. I don't know where this company is located, but the fact that they don't answer calls and I have no idea how to add or service panels is frustrating. I have a loan to pay, but I need additional panels or a company that can assist me because this company is useless.

Sopris Solar put in my solar panels. Had a bunch of issues, like being late with the installation and messing up the money. We kinda sorted most of it out, but two of the panels never even worked. I had to get them taken down 'cause I needed a new roof. The contractor I hired found out that Sopris screwed up the inverters, messed up the wires, and voided the warranties. They took pictures and wrote it all down. Fixing this mess is gonna cost me $2,317.90. I sent all the proof to Sopris, but they haven't said a word.

We signed up with Sopris Solar on April 15th, 2022, and they said the installation would take two days and start in mid-May. But right away, there was a delay and they didn't communicate well. They sent someone to take pictures of the site and inspect our home and roof, which was supposed to ensure a good plan (but they didn't mention the panel upgrade we had to do later, which cost an extra $4,800). We finally started the installation in mid-July, but they used the wrong plans twice already! This shows they didn't do their homework properly, and it caused problems for all of us from the beginning. They told us multiple times that they would come on a specific day and needed access to our home, but they never showed up and didn't explain what was happening. It's really disrespectful when a company thinks their time is more important than ours, and they did it over and over again. When their team came to our home, they would arrive late in the morning or afternoon, work for a couple of hours, and then leave. They would come back a few weeks later and do the same thing. They even disconnected our AC to our bedrooms in the attic to cool themselves down and never hooked it back up (we have pictures to prove it). They also left their stuff at our home without asking, which could easily be stolen. And they damaged five panels, some of which are fire hazards and need to be replaced. They left garbage, debris, solar materials, cigarette butts, and other trash on our roof, gutters, flower beds, driveway, and yard. After more than a month into the project, they realized they were using the wrong plans and had to move everything from the back of our home to the side. And they did it again! It's been four months now, and they haven't shown up to finish the job (we've already paid around $32,000 of the $40,000 total). I honestly think we're being scammed at this point, and they have no clue what they're doing. They promised a lot but delivered very little. Please, we need help!
