I had a great time with Barrett Solar. The first call was very informative and *** was honest with all the details, good and bad. After taking some time to decide, I agreed and the owner of the company contacted me immediately with the timeline and other info. The installation was fast, the owner was in touch throughout the process, and helped with contacting the electric company so we could get switched over. I am happy with the product. It looks sharp and seems to be generating a good amount of energy so far. The customer service experience through *** was top notch. I recommend it highly.

My solar system was installed by Barrett Solar LLC and after two months, I noticed one panel wasn't working properly. I contacted them and they asked me to do all the work to get it replaced, which I found frustrating. I refused to do their work on a warranty issue for a new system. They said they ordered a panel, but four months went by and I never received it. After I threatened them with a lawyer, they said the panel fell within the manufacturer's specifications and they wouldn't pay for shipping because of my threats. I think they never had a panel to send me. Then they said they would send me the panel if I paid for shipping. Why should I have to deal with this on a warranty issue? They don't stand behind their product or work. I trusted the Barrett salesman, but I learned quickly that they don't care about their customers.

If you wanna do biz with this company, make sure you see their contract first. The sales peeps will try to get you to sign before you see the whole contract and the tech specs. If you gotta use the termination clause, the owner and finance director act super unprofesh. They break their own contract and then blame you. I had to bug them a bunch to get my refund, and I bet they woulda kept my down payment longer if I didn't call them out for not getting back to me in 10 biz days. I'm glad I'm done with this company and I suggest you avoid them too if you don't want a headache.

I would give a 0 star if I could. I went thru Titan Solar who contracted to Barrett Solar. I had called and left messages since the beginning with the owner of the company. He had never communicated with me. They never came to inspect our house like they were supposed to. They never communicated that they changed our plans on where the solar was going. Then they scheduled to come out before even talking to us. Today the city inspector came out and of course nobody from Barrett solar showed up. The inspector said it wasn't the first time they hadn't shown up for an inspection. I then explained that they said we need upgraded boxes AFTER they installed. The owner told the inspector I was confused! So, the neighbors across the street were getting their solar put in today and those guys came over to verify that yes I was correct. I called the owner and for the first time EVER he answered. I told him I had been calling him since the beginning. He called me a liar. Wouldn't let me get two words in and then he hung up on me! They told Titan Solar they performed an inspection on May 15th. They did not. Nobody came into my house to look at the breaker box or in my attic to make sure the roof would hold! Horrible company! Save the trouble and go through and honest and reliable company!

We have been pleased with the service we received from Barrett Solar. The installers were great.

I was promised they would work with Evergy to get my system approved. They had problems with Evergy on the size of my system. They have since dropped off the radar. Will not respond by phone or email.

My system went on line and was producing power by june.I had one problem w/some panels not reporting last fall. the contractors fixed the problem in a timely manner.Have had good production all thru winter and this spring of 2021.

We are at the stage before inspection of the system. Each step has been completed in a timely manner and my questions answered throughout the process. The array installers completed their task in one day and the next day the electrician completed the job. Each team member was respectful of our property, even to the point of replanting flowers that had to be removed because of trenching.

Making a selection to buy to solar was a big step for us.This *** place helped me pick the right set up. They let me get panels made in *** that are super effective and helped make everything battery ready so eventually we will be 100% independent. Barrett even sent the right plan and never put pressure on us.. They answer our million questions on the best set up and gave us paperwork and architectural layout. Their timing and communication is great. They help us through the electric company, the builder, and getting all the stuff needed to build.I would recommend Barrett Solar.

We had Barrett install our solar system, they took care of everything! And was completed in about a weeks time. The guys on the crew we great, friendly, cheerful and on time. I would recommend this company and have to all my friends and family. As for those who say they get no response I call bs on that. I have called and emailed different questions, and within a few hours the owner has personally reached out to me answered what needed answered. I believe that if you treat them with respect, and kindness that is what you will get back. Covid 19 has made it rough on all companies to get parts and people out to get jobs done! Diana P

Excellent customer service from salesman and from the installation crew. Communication from headquarters is really bad and confusing. It also took a month longer than initially quoted as staff forgot about us. They also don't tell the customer when they can turn on the solar panel. After a week of waiting I got ahold of someone who told us we had the capacity to do it the week before. We were waiting for the go ahead, but we already had it and they never bothered to tell us. Also county inspector might be uneducated. *** was and that complicated things. The employee had to come from several hours away and the inspector was a five minute drive. After 5 seconds, he told us we failed the inspection because the sticker was in the wrong place. He left before the Barrett employee arrived. Then I had to wait for the inspector to come back. Not good that they don't hire local employees. The employees that they do hire are great, they just need more. It hasn't been long enough for me to have seen a power ***, so I have no idea if the panels are working yet. But I was asked to do this review several times...even a month before the panels were installed. Communication is sent via email, but they won't take the email of the person paying the ***. They take the email of the person who earns more money. Salesmen did send texts to me (the person who pays the bills and takes time off work to be home for them). That was helpful, but insufficient. I needed the info sent to my technologically behind coinhabiter. *** does not communicate well with salespeople. *** was great at texting me, but he clearly had no idea where we were in the process. Like I mentioned, he asked for a review long before panels were installed. The day they showed up to install the panels I thought they were there for some precursor first because that is what I was told they would be doing. I was pleasantly surprised when the panels arrived in my driveway. The panels look beautiful."

I got a solar system and generator put in by Barrett Solar LLC. They started in December and it's now May 20. But I'm getting charged for a job that ain't even done yet by the money people.

This company ain't got a clue how to do business in Kansas! They tell you that you'll get a fat rebate that's gotta go towards the loan, but KS don't even have that rebate. They don't know how the power company works in KS either. They didn't even put in the right meter can when they first installed it. They don't answer their phones, emails, or voicemails. The picture they used for our job was from 14 years ago. They didn't handle the trees right. They sub out the whole job. They don't control the schedule or deliveries. Their distributer left a pallet in front of our garage door for 4 days, so we couldn't even get our car out. They don't take responsibility for any mistakes, not the installers, the delivery people, or the tree people. They just lie to get you to sign up, then good luck trying to get ahold of them. They don't follow through! I can't really recommend them, even with their $500 bonus. And where the heck is this extra $7,700 "incentive" coming from?

Barrett Solar ain't been nothin' but trouble since we first got in touch with 'em. We been havin' problems with our solar panels for months now, and I done reached out to the owner and other folks in the company multiple times, but ain't nobody callin' me back. I even had to pretend like I was switchin' to solar just to get someone on the dang phone. The owner promised to fix it "ASAP" when I emailed him, but he's been ignorin' me ever since. And to top it all off, our electric bill is higher than ever 'cause the system ain't workin' like they said it would, and we can't even manage our usage 'cause the app is all messed up. Don't waste your time with Barrett Solar, y'all.

Barrett Solar hit us up with Every in late 2019 to get some solar panels installed. They said our Evergy electric bill would be low once the panels were in place. They said we'd have some months where we'd get extra energy, and that would help us out in months where we didn't get as much. They also said if we had any leftover energy at the end of the year, Evergy would send us a refund. They said our electric bills would be around $11 for the meter reading. During the summer, our bill was only $35. But in the fall, it started going way up. November was $95, December was $137, and January was $275. We decided to go ahead with the solar installation anyway, because they said they'd take into account our energy production from the previous year. They said the monthly payment for the panels would be about the same as what we were paying before. But as of November, that's not the case. Our energy levels were the same as the previous year, and we're paying more. We've tried to get in touch with them several times, but they haven't responded to our calls or emails.

I hit up Barrett Solar last year to get a solar system put on my roof. Signed a contract and everything. But since then, it's been a real struggle to get any communication from them. I've sent emails and made calls, but no one's getting back to me. I even left a bad review, but still nothing. I'm not sure what to do. Can I go with another company? Will Barrett still make me stick to the contract? They said they'd finish the project by the end of 2021, but now it's almost 2023 and nothing's been done. I'm worried about missing out on those sweet federal tax incentives. Anyone else having trouble with these guys?

We got our solar system from Barrett Solar and they didn't do what they said they would. I need a machine that needs electricity all the time because of my health, but we have power outages a lot where we live. The salesman said we wouldn't have that problem with solar, but we still do. They also said they would fix our yard after they installed the panels, but they didn't. There are ruts everywhere and it's hard to get around. They dug a trench that took over a month to fill in and they left a big pallet in our back yard that they were supposed to take away. They moved it to the side yard, but it's still there. I can't move it because I'm handicapped and my wife can't either. They said they would try to get someone to pick it up, but it's been months and nothing has happened. I'm worried someone will get hurt and sue us. I wanted to cancel the contract, but they said we would still have to pay. I just want my yard fixed and the pallet gone. They didn't give us the rebate they promised either. They need to keep their word.
